Well I must have missed the wagon yesterday evening, sailed right passed me..cooked a beautiful roast, did all the washing up, and then that reward feeling popped up in my head, you know, busy day don't you deserve a treat ? like a chatterbox in my head.
So I head to the fridge, phone rings, old old friend contacts me after a few years, and the rest as they say is history with two empty stella cans in evidence this morning.
Well I can't drink tonights youngest needs dropping off/picking up at 9pm so thats that.DC.

Well, alcohol definitely makes me anxious and paranoid. All the nights I'd be with friends, drink too much and then go to bed, pass out for a couple of hours, then wake up, mind racing, and replaying the entirely evening super fast around my head, and around and around, over and over for hours and hours.
Have certainly noticed that after the first few days (when I was just as touchy as hell) my mood has chilled out nicely.
What helps me is Kalms herbal tablets - if you feel anxious after a few too many take a couple with a big glass of water. Might just help.

When I drink a lot it does make me feel anxious and paranoid the next day too. I think it is to do with your blood sugar going up and down and the bad nights sleep you get when you drink too much.
Don't worry about it Grey Pilgrim, you still have 11/12 days so that's great!
Same to you Different Corner, you didn't drink too much anyway.
The day seems to be dragging today. I have to go to the shops this evening so I hope I will avoid the drinks aisle.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Thanks 115k, for me it's not the physical after effects, its the actual dependence that worries me.
After a half I'm fine, relaxed even, but then my mind turns inward and as others have said the emotional anxiety kicks in. Just makes me miserable, why pay for the privilege ? Thats what I don't understand...
Grey Pilgrim, you have done so well and you should be very proud, it is a blip don't beat yourself up.DC.
