The giving up/cutting down alcohol support thread! Part 2

Good morning - back from our weekend way and caught up with all the goings-on of the weekend.
I just want to say to everyone that it's important to remember that written words (as opposed chatting to someone) are open to all sorts of interpretations, some correct, some not so correct. We can't modulate what we write with tone of voice/body language (well smilies but they are limited) so it behoves us all to be extra touchy-feely if writing something that could be contentious to avoid upsetting people. And remember even if you think someone needs a kick up the backside it doesn't mean they'll agree with you and thank you for it!
I did drink over the weekend, A glass of wine one night and a gin and tonic and couple of wines the next. What surprised me was that I felt very rough on Sunday morning, way out of proportion to the amount I drank - mustbe used to having an AF body.
So Lurky, please could you put me down for 8, thanks.0 -

hi all
can I join you on the wagon?
I'm currently tucked up in bed with awful sickness, think i drank far too much yesterday and i'm totally fed up.
oh and mum have noticed that i am drinking too much, but no one knows how much the thought that i want to stop and don't seem to be able to is totally consuming me. I feel so unhappy/guilty.0 -
I poured away the rest of the vinegar, oops sorry I mean wine, in my fridge this morning, it must have been off by now. It was about half a bottle as well so I must have drunk less than I thought I did the other day.
Today will be 8 out of 12 for me Lurkio please.
I am finding the support on here very helpful actually. I always thought that I wouldn't like going to any group support meetings like AA or Weightwatchers or Slimming World but I can see why people do it now. This forum is like a anonymous support group and it fits around your schedule so I think it is amazing anyway.:A
Don't worry about the blips people, I think you are all doing great.:A

I know this will pass. I'll feel fine tomorrow (hopefully), but I can't believe I let myself and everyone down. wah.
I even went and had a sausage and egg mcmuffin the next morning, so my veggie challenge is up the spout too.0 -
