My "moderation" over the weekend worked OK on Sat (in that I seemed to get v drunk on less than usual!!). I took the kudzu but only remembered it as I was about to have the first drink on both days - not sure you're supposed to wash it down with chardonnay!

Your posts do make me laugh WB :D

I have been taking the Kudzu everyday since middle of last week and can report that when I have drunk on them (which has been the last 3 nights :o), I get amazingly drunk very quickly. I think it's meant to make you feel the effects of alcohol quicker so you stop drinking as much, obviously that bit didn't work with me and I got super drunk instead

I have also had a headache since starting on the tablets which on the first 2 AF days I put down to not drinking but have still got it when I drink, does anyone else get a headache?

Oh, morning everyone by the way  I've just caught up with the last 6 pages of thread which has arrived since Friday

Hi to any newbies, hugs for those that need em, BUDGIE...WHERE ARE YOU?? Congrats to those doing well and keep on keeping on to those that aren't doing so well.

Got a reply back from that Alcohol Awareness Training thing, I'll let you know what they said a little while, just took all morning catching up with the thread, gotta do some work now

    Welcome back Jo!

Certainly on Saturday I seemed to get drunk ridiculously quickly :o I went to drop DD off at OH's neighbour, & tottered back 2 hours later rather the worse for wear :o:o but had only had 3/4 bottle at which point I am usually still totally in control. But then, maybe the kudzu did its bit cos that's exactly the circs in which I would normally throw caution to the winds & carry straight on but I actually took a break of 1 - 2 hours to try & get a grip on things. Then I got really p!ssed, again on less than usual.

Didn't seem to happen yesterday though so inconclusive.....

Not had a constant headache though.

I had every faith in you :)

Kudzo and headaches - not sure - I seem to have a permanent headache at the moment (PhD).

I am a bit headachy but put it down to the complete over doing it bit last week - will monitor it a bit.........thinking drinking so much fluids (water) should have knocked my headaches on the head (excuse the pun) but it hasnt.

As an aside how many of you cutting down lot have lost any weight - somehow I imagined that my extra weight might decline a bit with a good few non drinking days - but thus far - no luck.

PS ignore all the posts about italian food above - lol - I normally eat like a pig anyway.

i'm trying to lose weight Fay and it's a big incentive to ease off on the drink.

Alcohol free yesterday (12 in total I think now) and should be today too as Dh is out and we only have red wine in the house which I tend no to drink so much.

Jo, can't help you with the headaches but interested to hear what the alcohol people said.
