Hi Everyone
Another one for me please Happyshopper....Which makes a grand total of 2
Lovely day yesterday sitting in the garden and watching the kids play could have quite happily sank a beer yesterday (I only ever drink this when the sun comes out!) but managed to refrain
Kids back at school and I have a house that resembles a bombsite to sort out......I just want to sit in the sun though(I love the warm weather)....maybe I will take note of that poem and do nothing
Hope everyone is ok
Stroppy xx0 -
Thanks for the poem Molly ... It made us both smile.
Mrs BHB and housework are not really words that are normally used in the same sentence.
However, everyone that comes round our house says what a wonderfully warm and comfortable home we have and we can't get rid of them, especially when the woodburner is alight.
Bear in mind that we have 4 large dogs, two house cats, two home educated children numerous other animals in the house including occasional lambs and goat kids being bottle fed, all in a really tiny cottage.
Dust and wood ash just covers up the dogs hair in our house :rotfl:
It does make me smile when people come round and say that especially as every single piece of furniture downstairs came off free-cycle --- I wonder what it is that makes them say that ....... or perhaps they are just being polite
We certainly follow the idea of the poem anyway
Hope everyone is OK.
Into Day 15 for me

Nice one stroppy and maz. Missing lots of updates so I'll amend this if necessary later. Glad to see mood seems generally good. Hope the absentees will post and let us know how things are. Impressed by your 100 day challenge 40somethingmum, your 2 weeks and counting BHB and you too jo - don't drown yourself in all that H2O.
Just had a rather upsetting note through the door from the ars3y woman downstairs having a general moan about me being too noisy, which I'm really not. She even typed it out and put 'heavy walking' in italics. !!!!!!! Does she want me to fly around my flat? Am out for lunch in a mo, will endeavour not to drink too much and come back and 'have a word' with her . Any advice on a diplomatic reply?
Have a good day all...

Onwards and upwards indeed. I've been 'taking care' of the wine this weekend and now need to take care of me. Still on 3/10 but if I could put in 3 AFDs this week then that would be good.
Starting with today.
Winebox, sorry to hear you were suffering so much, hope you feel 100%better? I haven't been sleeping well, partly due to too much booze. It's a beautiful sunny day and time to get back on track.0 -

I think Lillibet's got the right approach...(ref her writing-in-the-dust yesterday)
Would like to help but tact & diplomacy have never been my middle name! Good luck with her.0 -

Yeah, maybe I'll stamp eff off in morse code on the wooden kitchen floor
Unfortunately I have to keep her onside for possible future building works so I'll be nice ...nothing to see here...0 -

My advice would be to make loads of noise from now on, then in a week or so go back to normal and she won't notice it anymoreDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
HS, there's a few threads on the 'families, homes and relationships' thread about noisy neighbours (posters on both sides of the problem) and there was a lot of advice there that may be helpful.
Have caught up a bit now - lots of really interesting posts - glad that everyone seems OK.
40sm, I also feel down the day after I've drunk, but usually if I have overdone it, a single glass is OK. I like you idea of a 100 day challenge - good luck to you.
I shall not be drinking today but will check in later. Have a good afternoon.Saving to pay the tax man0
