    :hello: Hi Everyone

I've been suffering all weekend with the horrible cold/flu I'm sure I caught on here. I've crawled on to read the posts so I can keep up.

I'm actually disgusted with myself as although weekends are planned drinking nights for me I could so easily have been AF as I have a very sore throat and can't taste a thing. So I've been pouring wine down my neck and (other than dulling the pain) WHY!!!

The great thing about this thread is it makes you really think about what you do. I'm obviously OK with sticking with an advance plan but I now need to rethink how to stop drinking when I don't 'need' to.

There are some really positive posts on here this weekend, well done all of you who have managed AF and/or cutting down. I'll be back on the wagon tomorrow, bad throat or otherwise!

    Goodnight all:A
  • Morning all!
Hope you all had a good evening.
Mollypolly - I loved the poem. It reminds me of when the children were very tiny, probably about 18months and 3 years old. The housework was the last thing on my mind. One morning I found my OH (now ex:rotfl:) had written 'Clean me' in the dust. So I wrote back 'F**k off':p

    Have a good day y'all

Morning, gotta be quick, going back to work today :D looking forward to it!!

AF last night, feel tired this morning.

Eselt, kudzu drops? I've only got great big horse tablets!! Where do you get the drops from?

40SM, I had no intentions of actually buying volvic, I will also be using tap water, though during the week I will probably fill up a bottle at work as it's filtered ;)

Fay, of course you can join the volvic challenge, we are gonna feel so healthy!

GC, I was jesting when I said about going back to the booze, sorry I was being flippant :o x

I like that...in our case I had the sense to keep my mouth shut when the odd thing wasn't done when there were littlies around demanding stuff like time and watching over...

    take care everyone

    Hi everyone

Not such a great weekend for me . Had some wine on Saturday - had some left on Sunday so had to finish it. So still on 10AFD.

I find that i feel quite down the day after I have been drinking and I just don't really have the enthusiam to do anything. Does anyone else ever feel like this ?

I started really well this month but once I had slipped up I kinda think another day won't hurt then ( but it does!!)

Anyway I have decided that I have got to stop faffing around and JUST STOP DRINKING FOR A WHILE.

I have noticed that there is another thread on the forum called the 100 day challenge where you give up something for 100 days. Well I have decided to give up alcohol for 100 days.

I am not going to post on the other forum as I find I can only just about keep up with this one and sometimes " What DFW things have you done"

If you don't mind I will keep my scores up to date on this thread. Now got to work out when the 100 days are up . Hopefully after 100 days I will not feel the need to drink.

Now got to motivate myself and get to work as I have got bills, bills and more bills to pay.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Hi

I have just worked out that my 100 days will finish on 29 july 2009.

Just in time for the start of the school holidays. 6 weeks with 3 boys age 9 & under  . If I stay off the wine then then I will know that I have cracked it :rotfl:
