Hope everyone is ok tonight

I have had my Fri/Sat/Sun drinking nights and had a total of 12 units over the 3 nights/week :D Back on the wagon tomorrow :D

BB the downstairs loo is nearly finished. We are back to normal/work tomorrow and ran out of time. Still have the new floor to put down next weekend and a few new things to put up but at least it's usable and looking good so far :D:rolleyes:

Good luck for the rest of the evening everyone xx
  • Haven't been around for a while but great to see everyone still here and working away at their giving up/cutting down.

I echo Bismark's 'constant vigilence' I was doing well and then you have a mid week bottle of wine....then the next day...and before you know it you are back to the old routine. 5 days AF for me (including my birthday!) I've finally realised that I actually enjoy 'looking' after myself and bloody deserve it too!

    Good Luck all. x

    Hi BB,
I am good thanks.Just been a very busy weekend and I am doing some Ebaying....trying to make a bit to pay off some more debts.....so am reading and watching you all.;)

    Dust if you must
But wouldnt it be better to paint a picture or write a letter.
Bake a cake or plant a seed.
Ponder the difference between want and need.
Dust if you must but there's not much time.
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb.
Dust if you must but the worlds out there.
With the sun in your eyes and the wind in your hair.
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must but bear in mind...old age will come and its not kind.
And when you go...as go you must,
You yourself will make more dust.

Remember...A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on the furniture.

    Take care all

:ji just wanted to tell you all, i have reached 4 days af!!
i have had a great day - went off to a show this morning with ds and walked with the dogs 2 mile, met some friends when we got there, who imediatly said 'go and get her a large glass of wine' so i said that i wanted something non-alcoholic and refreshing, they brought me a pint of lemonade and lime - it was realy realy nice - i have never had that before, but will be having it in the future.
we walked all the way back again later on and i have never even thought about alcohol all day, feet are killing me now, so i am off to bed. just wanted to tell someone that i have done 4 consectutive days, which is a first for me for a long long time.
good night and god bless jo-jo

Hi Molly Polly, thankyou for the poem :D Mr BB certainly went for writing his name in the furniture. To explain as you know I HAD a lovely new dining room all clean and sparkly. HOWEVER as he is going to lay a wooden floor tomorrow in the lounge and we have a stone fireplace he decided to get his angle grinder out and put a groove in the cement at the bottom so as its easier to lay the floor.

I was in the kitchen merrily doing my mse cooking as you do, kinda got worried when I could no longer see

I have spent hours cleaning but it the dust seems to keep settling again. Hey ho the poem was lovely though and so true. you could relate it to if you drink though and what you miss then?

I hope Jo is ok? She is on my mind so much today.

So take care Dear Mp and look after yourself.
    Hugs Budgie xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
