good afternoon, people,
I had an AF day yesterday, and so was able to deal with my computer crashing this morning and have been busy doing house work, instead of crawling out of bed now!
I won't be having an AF day today as going into town tonight, but am determined to remember it
I'm going to sit in the sun and read a book now, don't get chance that often.
Hope you all have a lovely day

Hi Budgetbabe,
Thanks for asking - I've not had a drink for nearly a week now so thats good. The depression isn't good to deal with but have set things in motion to deal with that but its important that I don't drink to give the anti-d's and therapy etc time to start working. I've been at the parents for a couple of days (no laptop) and went to the seaside to walk the dogs and have fish & chips!!. Been getting quite anxious with various things and it would be so easy to have a drink BUT got to the point where I'm sick off the crap feelings and want to sort my head out!! I actually admitted to the first time to my mum how the anxiety affects me - not being able to breath properly, swallow properly, feeling tense, fidgeting, wanting to get out of places if I'm uncomfortable. How this has led me to avoid some situations or drink before them. It was good to open up!! Been feeling guilty about having time off work also as I keep thinking I'm faking it. However, its the depression talking and starting to realise that. Tempted to open up a little more about these things at work but then you don't know how much to trust people.
I'll stop rambling now - though it is good to get thoughts out of your own mind sometimes, if that makes sense??

So I am happy to support Brawn Racing, I have always favoured Mclaren but recent events have left the team sadly tainted. Lets hope it all gets sorted out? Red Bull have done well though
That's the same as me!
Nirelandguy good luck for the wedding later on, don't worry about not drinking just do what you want to do not what others want you to do!
Well, a v.lazy lounging day for me today with OH not doing much at all apart from catching up and chatting. congratulations on getting to double figures of af days!
i know what you mean about someone alwys trying to see what you are typing, i only come on here when i know no-one else is around, which is hard at times, there is always someone popping through.
jo1972 - thanks for your concern, i read your post yesterday and it just started me to actually think about the past and were in my life i started to drink more and more and like you said, when tragedy happens, you do not reach out for the bottle, it's usually something quick or out of the blue that snaps, then once you start, it seems to get hold of you
budget babe & mari - thankyou for your kind words, all my 5 babies were born in just over 6 years - i always say to my husband that's why i'm overweight now, because i had them all so quickly! i never really lost the weight, because at them times - i ate when i was upest, so the weight never came off, then i was pregnant again and so on, etc.,
not had a very good day though today, been out all day with a lot of freinds and freinds of friends, got a bit upset this afternoon over something and nothing, but all i thought about was going home and opening a bottle of wine! i didn't though and stayed untill teatime and came home and put kettle on, so i thought i would come on here and chat a while before going back to the bbq later on.
head still banging though!!
talk later, best of luck to everyone - it is a glorious night for sitting out with a nice long cool lemonade!0 -

hi, no i'm ok, just got myself wound up this afternoon, going to test myself now and go across the road to the off liscense to buy a large bottle of lemonade and a bottle of lime juice to take to the bbq tonight, because i know - the mood i am in, if i have one drink, that will be it and i will end up drinking everything and making a fool of my self and as we are going back there tomorrow, i don't want people laughing at me or reminding me on how drunk i was, so i am driving again and taking my peartiser and lemonade and lime with me, and that should surfice and hopefully this blasted headache will have gone soon.
