  • Skulks in having been naughty

Went to supermarket late last night to get DD and pal marshmallows (a pathetic excuse) and a bottle of wine. I never go shopping at night time as I know the wine aisle is difficult to avoid during this danger time.

Waited til late on and managed to drink a whole bottle of wine myself when they were asleep - why no idea

OH was out (and I didn't know) and he ended up phoning me on his mobile from his pocket - whoops - he was with a group of girls from work - all clearly very drunk - I of course being the worse end of a bottle of wine imagined the worst and we ended up - when finally he stopped phoning me from his pocket - having a massive row on the train home.

Hearing a very drunk girl telling your partner how wonderful he is and how everyone fancies him at work didn't go down too well with me - seems to be very stupid today - he's hugely trustworthy - long distance relationships arghghghghggh.

Woke up this am feeling very stupid - I don't normally do paranoid with him - combination of not knowing he was out - he hardly ever drinks which also made me mad cos its all he ever says with me 'I don't drink' and then hearing him having fun without me and out drinking.

Have already done the Im sorry I jumped to conclusions phonecall!

So onwards and upwards - constant vigilence tonight - no late shopping for me. Don't feel to bad today - that's half my problem I never really get hangovers - seldom in fact - which doesn't help.

Hope you are all fine today and not feeling like you have been an idiot!!

Lots housework done already - work to do later on.

So still 12 for me - whoops!

Going for the rest of the month AF............

  • Sorry for sharing I just need to remind myself that I don't actually want to drink as it brings out this pathetic needy person who ends up causing a scene generally with OH.

Don't worry about sharing this Fay, it shows how alcohol changes how we think about situations and handle them in our mind and reality. Hope you are both ok today about this as I wouldn't have been too happy about it either if it was me!

    Hi,

Firstly SleepJo Hugs ((())) I really don't know what to say about your last post? Such tragedy in your life I felt so sad for you reading what you have been through. Words would not be enough and I wouldn't know what to say really but yes you now have a wonderful son and daughter and I am sure you cherish them dearly. I wish you well my friend, you deserve to have some happiness in your life. I so hope that you do achieve what you want to? Give your son an extra big hug and tell him how special he is while you have him at home. Make the most of this weekend and good luck on staying af. Again hugs and take care. xxxxxxxxx

Fedup hugs to you too, you are doing so well with staying af and also dealing with your debts. I have noticed that you only have one month left on your AA loan and then it will be gone :T You are also making progress with so much more as well, so well done and do take care. Keep positive and things will and are getting better for you. Hugs xxxxxxxx

Fay you too need hugs today, sharing our feelings is whats important and thats why we are all here to if nothing else listen and care. I am sure most of us would have acted in the same why as yourself, alcohol though does fuel our feelings and highten our emotions. Please don't feel stupid whats done is done, move forward now and I am sure that things will work themselves out. So take care and try and have a good weekend? Lots of love xxxxxxxx

BsNtc hugs sweetheart and thankyou :) You are always so sweet, so please have a lovely weekend and yes the sun does make us all feel happier. Lots of love xxxxxxxx

    Hugs to everyone else

    Morning all,

Jo-jo, I feel kinda bad for my post last night now, hope I didn't upset you? You have been through a tremendous amount of pressure, I am so pleased you have been blessed with your beautiful children.

    BB, how you feeling now?

Fay, oops, that wasn't good was it, I would've handled it the same as you, think all of us would've!

How is everyone today, seems quite upbeat and positive on here at the moment, kinda like it was back in January when everyone had new year resolve. I think February and March were the let down months after the hype of xmas and now everyone's looking forward to summer so has new resolve??

Have a lovely day, beautiful weather here at the moment, been carp the last couple of days so I'm hoping for 2 days of nice sunny weather to end my Easter holidays before I go back to work on Monday!

    Hi Jo,

I feel alot better thankyou, having some blood tests next week and taking one less tablet a day to see if that helps? My Doctor seems to suspect my blood sugar is now going too low as well?

But at least I am not feeling as ill as I was, it was awful feeling so tired and anxious.

It is good to hear that people are feeling more positive, I need some good results in May and I am counting on you ;)

So enjoy the rest of your weekend and take care.

    Hugs xxxxxxxxxxx

Another AF day for me please... wooohooo:j

My 'drinking buddy best friend' dropped by last night to collect her two kids (she was at work all day). We usually sink a couple of glasses before the sun is over the yard-arm:rolleyes:

I poured her G&T and a tonic for me! I simply didn't want the taste in my mouth. Went to Sainsbugs yesterday and avoided the wine aisle like the plague. Bought a 4-bottle tonic water pack plus two bitter lemon.
I also noticed that I could actually taste my dinner last night and really enjoyed the meal I had cooked.

Ponders: why did I have such a bad night's sleep? Every little noise seemed to wake me - next door coming home late, dog barking, rooster crowing early etc. etc. Feeling very tired this morning, but can't wait to get out and do some more planting. Beetroot needs to go in plus basil and coriander to plant. Tatties went in yesterday.

    Thinking of you all today.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning all,

Wooohoooo I was AF yesterday :T First time in two months so am feeling great. On the downside OH came home plastered after a lads night out and snored all night and smelt horrid!! He has just said that this is what he normally puts up with, he only drinks occasionally, typical his bender was my 1st AF night, but at least I can see now what I've been putting him through almost daily!! So perhaps something else I need to call on when feeling like a drink!!

Jo-jo you sure have had a rough time of it big hugs to you, really well done for getting those first few AF days under your belt, I to had a headache last night so think its just your body getting used to not having its usual alcohol. Hope today goes well xx

BB thanks hun its nice to know you are going to check in on me!!! Hope you are feeling a little better, make sure you take good care of yourself :A

Fay omg those are just the worst situations....drunken ramblings, take care and try to put it behind you whats done is done x

Well Im going to see if I can finish this essay today, have family over tonight so will be a big test but feeling possitive that I can stay strong, I really really want to do this now.

Hope everyone has a lovely day in this beautiful sunshine :D

    Hi all

Sleepjo- what an incredible story, reading it in black and white I can't believe how strong people can be and how they keep going- you are amazing. Do you think you had post traumatic shock later on?- I've heard that sometimes people can appear to be coping really well, but it hits them hard later, sometimes years later.

BB- yep, I'm a Ferrari fan, but actually a bigger Ross Brawn fan so I have a dual allegance this year. Sorry!

Fay- er, I'm not sure if this is helpful, but I think I would have been a bit miffed if OH had gone out with a bunch of women drinking and not mentioned it- particularly as you overheard some pretty flirtly comments? Don't beat yourself up over your reaction, wine probably didn't help with the logical stuff, but I can totally understand why you were cross.

Hope everyone has a good day- well done particularly to those who are notching up their first few AF days.
