    Evening all!

Sorry haven't been on in a while - been a bit busy this week. Piglet been poorly with bad cough...been managing to get on here in the mornings for ten minutes and thats it. After two bouts of coughing and sicking today I took him to doctors. They have now decided that he has quite bad asthma ( it told them that MONTHS ago ). So he now has a ventolin inhaler, steroid inhaler and preventative inhaler. All good fun!

So.....I know its no excuse...but I felt I needed a glass of wine tonight. I know it will turn into several but figure I've only used up one day of my "allowance" this month so far :o

So HS - 14 for me please!

I will catch up on thread later. Budgie...hope you are feeling ok? Jo - hope you aren't struggling!

    Hi Guys :hello:

    Hope everyone is ok?

Been to the doctors today and she has reduced me down to two tablets and is doing some blood tests next week. So I will have to see how they go? One good thing at least when they do take my blood I won't have to worry about how much alcohol there will be in it ;)

Decorating as well  I am having a phase on changing the energy in my home. Really pleased with my dining room, I have put in a salt crystal lamp and a large selenite crystal. A water feature and wooden flooring, quite calming now so we are doing the lounge, well Mr Bb is :D I do the finishing touches :D

Jo happy birthday to your DD I hope she is having a lovely day, I also had a section with my Ds as he was premature. The time does fly, all those precious years that pass so quickly. So take care sweetheart and I hope you are having a good evening too? Hugs xxxxxxx

Maz :bdaycake: Happy birthday sweetheart I hope you are having a lovely day? Good luck and take care xxxxx

Pk have a lovely weekend, my hairdo was just a trim and my roots touched up. (The blonde bits need attention now sadly at my age). So take care and hugs xxxxxx

Ld well done on your first af day yesterday, I hope you are going for 2 out of 2? Take care, hugs xxxxxx

Maman Hope you are feeling better? Have a lovely weekend with Fluffy, hope you both have a good time. Take care and hugs xxxxx

Dotty hugs and it is good to hear that you are going to start taking more care of yourself, remember small steps and if you start to feel better about yourself then the rest will hopefully follow. 25 is still very young and you should be enjoying your life. So take care sweetheart and good luck. xxxxxx

Noynoy enjoy your child free weekend and your evening out with Dh. Hope you have a fab time ;) Take care, hugs xxxxx

Sleepy Jo well done on staying af yesterday, enjoy your son being home. (Btw is he at uni?). I hope you manage to stay af? If he is only home for a short time then you want to be feeling the best you can and not waste any time being hungovered. So good luck and I hope you are able to build on yesterday? Hugs xxxxx

Fay well done on reducing your loan :T and walking to work very impressive. The more things we do to make life better the better we feel. You are doing so well so keep up all your hard work. Have a good weekend and take care. Hugs xxxxx

Bhb 12 af days :T Fantastic and so well done, I hope you and Mrs Bhb are ok and manage some fun time in that pool of yours. So take care matey and lots of love xxxxx

Winebox 50 in the summer :T Isn't it funny I always assumed you were in your 30's? Still you are young at heart, I guess the mental pic we all have of each other is so different than how we really are? For instance I don't resemble Paddington Bear in the slightest and I don't really eat that much marmalade :rotfl:So take care sweetheart and I hope you have a good weekend? Hugs xxxxx

Mari hugs and I am so glad you are back :) and yes the people on here are wonderful, we are all here to support each other, and we will get you back on the straight and narrow. You can count on it. So good luck for this weekend and I expect updates please on your progress. Lots of love xxxxx

Nirelandguy hugs and I hope that you find away through this weekend? Remember that you don't have to drink at this wedding and just think how pleased you will be with yourself if you don't? So good luck and whatever you decide I hope it goes well for you? Hugs xxxxxx

Miss P I was just going to put you on my missing list ;) I am sorry to hear that Piglet is poorly, its so horrible when they are small and unwell. They seem to get smaller when unwell don't you think? Hope you are feeling better too? I am better than I was thankyou. So hugs to you and piglet and I hope he is better soon? Lots of love and take care. xxxxxx

Talking of missing? Dear Lurks? Eselt? Upsy? Ms London? Gc, GG and Polaroid (Yes again)? To name but a few? Hope you are all ok? xxxxx

I have only had 3 units tonight  Hardly worth it ;) & wasn't too fussed about it anyway  - I really must be going down with something

The wine bells rang for me in the early evening with the lovely spring time sun and walking past people going to and from the pub.

Anyway had 3 large glasses of Ribena and then a cup of tea with 5 choccies left over from Easter.

So I am now on 11/19 AFD!!!

Good luck to everyone else cutting down and abstaining.

Budgie, thankyou for noticing I was missing!!:D
Piglet ok - hard work with the inhalers though...he has the screaming ab-dabs everytime we approach him with one.
You are right - they seem so much smaller when poorly. He's been very clingy (which is unlike him) and its been lovely to have him snuggling up on my lap. Nothing beats cuddling your child and sniffing the top of their head...(does that make me sound wierd!?)

115k - 5 is better than none!! Keep going!

FB - I find the supervisory role SO much easier than the decorating itself!!

    Hope everyone else is ok!!

[I wouldn't want to look like i'm a bloody recovering alcoholic or something by drinking them.

Hey, don't have a go at our dear RA!!! :rotfl: Likewise to what BHB said, Bitburger Drive's the best, followed by Becks but gotta be served cold, don't go near Kaliber or Cobra

Budgie, DD was a prem baby too, born at 30 weeks after a ruptured placenta (far too much into I know, but...whatever ) :D

Hi Miss P, and no it does not make you sound weird at all, I know exactly what you mean. Enjoy these years as they pass so quickly. I used to love my Ds being young and needing me :) when the school holidays arrived the other mums used to moan that they would be stuck with their children. I on the other hand used to love them as it meant I spent time with my Ds. It was a special time in my life where alcohol played no part. I guess my drinking started to fill a gap?

I have to say though that it is so easy to develope the habit of having a drink, but I have also discovered that you can develope the habit of not drinking as well. Now that is a much better habit to have ;)

Give Piglet a hug from me and tell him I hope he is better soon. Lots of love xxxxxx

115k sorry that you are struggling at the moment though on a positive note you have been consistent in previous months. So please take care and good luck for the rest of the month. Hugs xxxxxx

Jo gosh you did certainly have a tough time with your Dd. and you have had three in total. (Is this correct?) Hats off to you sweetheart, I only did it the once. Though I do say to my Ds how could I possibly improve on perfection. (Well he is my precious angel). Hey after what you went through on this day 17 years ago it proves what strength of character you have. use that to get yourself to where you want to be now. You have the inner strength now BELIEVE THIS TO BE TRUE because it is and you can do this. God bless angel xxxxxx

I'd love to get back to the person I was 17 years ago, I've been thinking about it today going through the day again with my mum, as, as I had to have an emergency c/section I was out of it and my dear old mum and OH had to bear the brunt of the emotions. DD was very small, just 2lb 8oz and was on life support for a week, we didn't get to hold her in our arms till she was 2 weeks old and was in the hospital till she was 4 months old. I don't think in that entire 4 months alcohol passed my lips and it didn't occur to me either. Maybe I need to think about this more, luckily for me DD1 is now fit and healthy, 3" taller than me (and I'm not short ) and I can think about that time in my life because although it was scary at the time, we all came out of it okay, some don't and wouldn't want to think about that part of their lives.

    ETA: yes 3 is correct.....

thanks budgetbabe, i feel better for not drinking, but have got a banging headache and not too sure if i have it because i haven't had a drink! or it is just the time of the month.
my son is 25, he works in manchester and lives there, just comes home every now and then, usually to raid my fridge, spend my money, etc, i have a daughter 21 and works away as well, comes home every month or so.
i have found a nice can of pop to drink 'peartiser' like the apple version, but this one was pear and very tasty,
