I am struggling big time at the moment :(

Getting fed up with this vicious circle, want to break the chain but constantly stopping myself, it's as if I'm on auto-pilot. It's easier to drink and be miserable than to not drink and be happy....work that one out..

Trying to work it out myself mate - whilst everyone else got on the wagon of their choice you & me must have stood at the wrong bus stop. If I kick you up the 'arris will you do the same for me? Tomorrow is 20 weeks until my Significant Birthday & I so want to sort myself out (ie still banging on about losing weight) & there's still time but it's running out. I WILL do this if it kills me, though a better turn of phrase would be before it kills me.

    Fab going fuas!!

NTC you're doing such a grand job - you make it look so easy!

Budgie needless to say I shed a tear at your post.....it's such a blo0dy waste...of money, time, life.......

Miss P tea tree oil works - a few drops in the final rinse of the proper essential oil, only thing is it stinks!

Hi to everyone else. Are we doing this again in April? I'm gonna keep on trying!
  • Thanks winebox, we can keep it under our hats that its not so easy until someone volunteers to do April:rotfl:I think happy shopper did volunteer a while ago but not heard much from them so maybe we need a daily poster [STRIKE]called Budget Babe [/STRIKE]to do it ;) (did I type that out loud:D)
Sorry to hear you and jo are still battling. I guess you have to look at the success you had in January and know that you did it then and you can do it again. Good luck both and anyone else having a struggle atm.

Budgie I saw that millionaire programme too and it was very sad. A few years ago I worked in a local pub and we had a number of men who came in for hours on end every single day and drank solidly. It was so sad to see and what a waste of life. I am so grateful to everyone on here who have motivated me to take a good look at how fast I was skating down that same route:eek:

As for April, I will be definitely be doing another target for myself as I do find this drives me to succeed, not sure on the target yet but I think I will go for 16 days again to keep on track for more than half of the year AF.

FUAS, congratulations hun, I will add the well deserved jumpy to your total:T

I have 2 weeks off work in April and going away for the first week of it plus have a couple of midweek celebrations going on so don't think I will do as well next month but I am going to increase my April target by 4 days and try for a 12 day April target

I went to a workshop about alcohol use and misuse for work and the guy running it said that if all drugs had to be reclassified today that alcohol would be considered a class A drug and it would be very unlikely for it to be legal. There would be uproar if the government tried that though.

I am going to try 15 days AF again in April. I think having my total AF days as my signature has given me a boost these last few days actually.

    Have a nice evening folks.:A

Dammit, thought nobody had noticed that as my post provoked tumbleweeds. Am just back from 4 days away, none of them AF unfortunately, nor today, so will have to abstain tomorrow to reach my target. Am currently on 19/29.

Actually, I am willing to do April if a more regular poster doesn't volunteer. Can't promise daily updates tho'. Think I'm going to go for 20 again here, any more would seem ambitious at this stage.

  • hi happy shopper, I wondered if you were away. Hope you had a good time.

    Hi again everyone :hello:

Now hopefully onto a much happier post.

Firstly just wanted to say again: thankyou for all your kimd birthday wishes :D I had a lovely weekend with my Ds as we are all F1 fans I got up early on both days to watch the qualifying and the race. Really pleased that the Brawn team got a one/two. I have always respected Ross Brawn and although we have never been Ferrari fans, I have always liked him. (Not as much as Ron Dennis though)

Eselt did you enjoy the race? Got to say it was weird with no advert breaks. ;)

Miss P I hope little munchkin is behaving himself today ;) make the most of him being small because they grow up so quickly. In a heartbeat they become young men and have their own lives to live. Though my Ds did buy me a lovely birthday card it said on the front:

To the best mummy in the world, how much do I love you?
When I opened the card two little arms came out and said: this much :D

He knew I would love it as I am a big softie.

Noy Noy what a nightmare to hear that your card has been cloned, I hope you sort everything out and avoid any overdrawn charges. Take care sweetheart, hugs. xxxx

    Jo
I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling at the moment, I do hope that you can work through things and get to a place where you want to be? I wish I could just wave a magic wand and make everything better for you, but as we all know that is not possible. I don't have any words to make things any better for you but please know that I am willing you to beat this and I wish you all the love in the world sweetheart. I really want you to look after yourself and please take care Angel. Love n hugs xxxxx

Fay its so true that alcohol is a legal drug and it can cause nothing but misery and heartache. You are doing so well and if leaving your purse at work is what works for you then just keep doing it. I wish you well and send you my love. Hugs xxxxx

Fedup I feel so happy for you that you will have made your target by this evening, how cool is that? :T I do hope that your little dog is better now? So keep up all your good work and take care. Hugs xxxxx

Winebox hugs to you my friend and yes it is such a waste of: money, time and life. You are worth so much more than this and like Jo I wish I could magically make it all better for you. I wish with all my heart that you can workout a way forward for yourself? I pray that this will be the case? So take care Angel and lots of love to you. xxxxx

BsNtc thankyou for the scoring so far just one more day to go in the big brother house. Looks like Happy Shopper will be the one to: "COME AND GET YOU" but if no one is up for scoring May I would be happy to do it with a "Little help from my friends" ;) As long as the housemates don't mind late posts? So thanks again my friend and I told you back at the start of the month that you could:" bet your bottom dollar that I would do my target" do you know what I am so pleased I have, thats thanks to you and everyone on here. My lovely viritual friends who are all stars together. Love and hugs to you. xxxxx

Talking of stars? Hugs to Dear Lurky you are the one that got me through at the begining, I have said before that you are a: "total gem" and I mean every word my friend. Hugs to you and the Lovely Esther and family. xxxxx

Welcome to Nirelandguy I hope this thread gives you everything that you need at the moment, please take care and look after yourself. Hugs xxxxx

Hugs to you all and take care. xxxxxx

There are also alot of missing housemates? If you are lurking I am sending you a big hug and wish you all well in your journey. Hugs xxxxxxx

So thats it for now, sorry if I have rambled tonight but this does mean everything to me and I want everyone just to be well and happy in their life?

Take care my friends and god bless.
    Budgie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Edit thanks for Secret Millionaire update Bsntc xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi everyone,

11 AF days for me please - will finish on 12 out of a target of 19 tomorrow, which is better than it would have been pre-challenge (4-8 days).

Like Jo and Winebox I've been struggling a bit, but desperate to get back on track. Had some news about an ex at the weekend and drank myself unconscious to deal with the pain. Not good.

Going to re-read Allan Carr this week - a chapter a night and perhaps go through some of the posts on here too for inspiration.

    Onwards and upwards xx

Big Angelic vibes and caring hugs sent to Jo and Winebox. We're all here for you if you want to put your feelings down in writing and hopefully we can offer support.

BSNTC - A big thank you for scoring this month, it means a lot to have a target to aim for each month, even tho's this month is the only target I have reached. I feel I have come along way in the last 3 months thanks to the cheery scorers we have had on here. Who is going to win the AFBB?? Will BS pull a fast one on the housemates and there is no winner!

The road has been up and down especially in Jan. Life is like this for all of us it seems.

Budgie - your posts mean the world on here!

I have looked at a target for April and due to my holiday at the end of the month until the beginning of May I have set a target of 19/30 days. If I hit it great, if I exceed it marvellous, if I don't hit it, at least I tried on the days I didn't drink!

Hope you all hang in there for next month too :D

P.S My doggie has been checked out and hopefully not to much to worry about, keep an eye on him for a couple of days and go back if no better
