Can some one tell me what Chlordiasepoxide is please?
I have asked her but she say's that only cdt will prescribe it and not our GP.

Welcome niall, CPD is an anti anxiety medication that can be used to lessen alcohol withdrawals. GP's do not prescibe it routinely.It is important not to drink whilst taking this medication. You could try ringing FRANK for more advice or the CDT to ask more about it. We aren't supposed to give out advice about medication on the forum so I hope I haven't broken any rules

Well I've been alcohol free since my last post - which I think was about 3 days ago - I need to double check this but I'm pretty sure I'm coming close to my target.
I keep getting bouts of anxiety and nearly panic which are slightly disconcerting but drinking isn't going to make them better so I'll keep ploughing on - apart from using the drink to combat these type of situations I'm not feeling too bad. I'm supposed to be looking at counselling to help out with all of this but not heard anything for a long time
I'm still thinking abstaining is my way forward.
