Hi Everyone
2 more for me please.....Whether i'd have managed this without this horrible bug I seem to have picked up _pale_ who knows !! My whole body is achy and feel I could sleep happily for a few days....no chance of that with 3 children running round
Wine is possibly the last thing on earth I fancy at the moment!Settling for squash and an early night instead

Happy birthday Budgie - gove DS a big hug from me ( I also keep DS off school on his birthdays - he's 6 but we've been to hell and back since he was born so I think he deserves it)
We're going to bunk off again soon to go to Legoland, probably in early May 'cos I've got a flexi day booked
Hiya Stroppy - did I read somewhere ( or did I imagine,I imagine lots of things) that you live over a pub?
RA - hello from me - I don't think our posts have crossed paths recently
I think I'm on track for another AFD but I can't hear the fat lady singing - unless she's a campinologist (possiblya bit of a spelling issue there)

12AF for me please, ntc.
Thank you so much for your good wishes Budgie. You really are the kindest person. In case I don't get on tomorrow, have a lovely birthday and a great weekend with your son.
Fluffy, I'm with you on the naughty bench for the weekend. I'm hoping to make at least another day this month but I have things on Monday and Tuesday where strong drink might be taken. I, too, have a holiday planned in April but it's just 5 days. I see a low target coming on for April but I'm thrilled I'm still cutting down. A New Year's Resolution still going into April, how great is that!!
Thanks to all my lovely, virtual friends (including those temporarily gone missing). I'd never have managed this on my own. :T0 -
Hey Miss P just reading your post again makes me realise I didnt stick in my two pennies
Washing, houses etc etc etc all get done eventually - live in as much of a mess as you can stand when the peedie chap is about - its normal and healthy
I haven't found a day that I didnt relish the time we had together in our muddled life - if you are both happier - life will be so much more easy for you both.
Whilst they need structure and disipline - they also need you more than anything else - mine are 12/14 now - and as silly as it sounds - we are happiest together - and we talk and laugh and squawk and we occasionally fight - but we do tonnes together still.
Aw lots of mushy nonsense from me tonight - addled brain xx waves to all
one day at a time people
I won a bottle of wine at a raffle last week - someone dropped it off at work today - we were at a nature talk of all things (yeah alcohol gets there too) - I first thought - OH GREAT - then I handed to a chap in the office that had helped me out last week - saying 'I am not drinking at the moment - why don't you have this?'
Baby steps xTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi every one just a thought my partner is an alcoholic and has tried everything to stop and the best was AA.
Butwith my work patern and the kids she stopped going and was offered CDT community drugs and alcohol in this she was given librum or something but she didnt stop for long.
Now she is drinking 4 cans a night with no food etc it use to be more cans. + Domestic V and abuse towards me.
But now she is seeing some nhs counciler who has told her to take VIT C ,B1 and b complex.
She did go to CDT but was told she didn't drink enought.
She says that drink is her friend and i wont talk to her but how can i when all she does is give me pooh and if we do try and talk it still goes the wrong way.
I know some will say to leave her but the house use to be my parents and there is no way i am giving that up.
Things are getting a bit better but as soon as i hear that can open iknow not to talk to her as i cant do right from wrong .
I do have a dairy sort off of things that have happened in the past but i would have to did it out.
The oh also has depresion and is under a CPN
Sorry if this is the wrong place but...
What a tough situation.
I don't know much, but I do know (as an alcoholic) is that only I could make the decision to stop drinking. Everyone's best intentions were ignored.
If people want to drink, it seems the best thing to do is leave them alone. Don't condemn or condone, but when your wife does hit that bottom, be there for her and be supportive.
Alcoholism is a disease, so please try and have compassion.
I would recommend going to Al-Anon, which is a support group for partners of alcoholics. Find it on the internet. It will be full of people who understand your wretched situation.
Good luck.0 -

Happy Birthday Budgie!!!:j
Hope you have a lovely day with DS coming home!!
Fay - you are so right. My Mum said the same thing to me when Piglet was born...she said cherish the time you have with them as its far more important than housework. Think I'd lost sight of that recently. Hopefully going to rectify it though. Off to his little speech therapy group this morning. He loves it there but we only have two more weeks left...sob! Am going to look for a playgroup to go to once it finishes. P.s well done on giving that bottle of wine away!!!!
Friday again. Looking forward to an AF weekend. Mum and Dad have invited us all over for a fish n chip evening tomorrow. Normally I would be a bit keen to get home again so that I could crack open a bottle of wine. Perhaps this time I'll actually relax and enjoy myself!
25 for me please NTC ! Not going to make my target because of that blip earlier in the month but am still quite pleased!:D
:hello: to everyone else! Have good Fridays!
Miss p
xx
