  • Evening all...

Been to cricket nets tonight and one pint in the pub afterwards so not AF again today.

and this was my problem. I have lots of days when I am out and about with opportunities for a drink, but I used to fill those days in with heavy sessions at home too. I am trying not to do that now.

So this week I have drunk five pints so far. Only two AF days but to be honest I am very happy with that :T

If I can maintain it then I will be a happy chappie...

On sleeping, I have previously said I am a rubbish sleeper. I will say that my sleep is getting better and much more often I drop off quicker without spending say an hour thinking...yes I'm still awake. And I am now beginning to come around before 7 in the morning and I am feeling very, very good. Not tired, and not with the temptation to rollover for another half an hour.

and on that note...I'm off to bed.

I'm very much "a few drinks in the evening after I get home from work" sort of guy. I never really had any problem not drinking if I decided not to for whatever reason other than feeling a bit moody for a couple of days. I guess thats somewhere in the "got a bit of a habit" zone.

Oh Mr Muttley how I (and I guess a few others) can identify with that. But we're working on it together.

Big Sister called housemate fedup to the diary room to report how yesterday went.

"It went fine, no cravings and AFD again making 5 days" Fedup told Big Sister she may have a drink on Fri/Sat and she had not decided yet.

All is well with me and I hope it is with you all too. Good luck and well done to those who are making any changes they want to!

Hugs to you all and lets see how loud the wine and beer bells toll today!

I have woken up with a headache but feel better than I did yesterday.

NOT happy with the sleep thing though. On every AF day this week I have been waking up in the night [normal for me] but not getting back to sleep again so that is really annoying me more than the not drinking!

Will be drinking tonight and tomorrow being the weekend and that's what I set out to achieve - cutting out the midweek drinking ;)

    Good luck to everyone :j

Hi all - feeling perky? (no comments about pinky...) Well, apart from noynoy - oh dear - has the caffeine kicked in yet?. I wasn't AF yesterday but DID NOT OVERDO IT!! So am feeling good today - enjoyed some wine without carrying on & getting hammered, & no hangover :j . The mere act of ordering the kudzu - I'm impressed with it already!

wbf glad you're still posting even if not quite got started yet. I'm not that far ahead of you am I?

fluffy sorry you're not feeling 100% - I think (from Jo, previously) that after 3 days your body is totally AF!

Well done fedupski & everyone else who's done a good few AF days.

Hi NTC - doing well mate! Confession: i've never watched BB so haven't the faintest idea what you're all on about

No of days pledged = 533
    Actual = 77

    Morning everyone
Have my good start under the belt now with 4 days so I will be enjoying a couple of wines in moderation this weekend.

Winebox, loving your comment about the act of buying kudzu helped you to cut down :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: maybe in the spirit of MSE you should of just pretended to buy it and got the same effect. and hands off perky you bad girl:D

I went and got some myself some yesterday so I will give it go for a month and see if it helps with my replacement need. I hate formal dieting so I am going to do the cereal for 2 meals and a proper meal thing for a couple of weeks to see if that gets rid of a few pounds. The other thing I am doing is a food and drink diary which always scares the bejesus out of me and makes me realise how much I am throwing down my neck. Will work well on my drinking days too to make sure I am not going OTT anymore. Today I may open the fitness DVD that has sat in my cupboard for 2 years in its wrapper, if things go well I may even watch it:D :Dbaby steps folks baby steps

Budgie I know what you mean about classes with friends but mine are still in shock over my lack of drinking so introducing excersise will for sure send them over the edge:rolleyes:
WBF, plenty of time to go keep trying
FUAS, how good are you eh? who would have thought this time last year

Winebox all you have to do is think newcastle accent for the top bit Day 6...and your there:D

    Jo are you Ok?
Bismark think I am safe with the assumptions but pop in and say hi

Right thats me off to unwrap Davina:rotfl: :rotfl: Have a great Friday everyone
    29th Feb Quit Day :j
