Hi winebox, I got a load of AF mulled wine from this shop for christmas, it was superb, made a punch and noone noticed the lack of alcohol- http://www.alcoholfree.co.uk/

Haven't tried any of the wines yet but theres a huge selection and the best thing is they look the part- you can just say you bought the wine/beer at Lidls if people don't recognise the brand?

    Cheers Eselt

Thanks for the link Eselt, I've tried the Bitburger Drive AF beer and it's really nice, especially when cold. I get it in my local Tesco

ETA: this is a great idea for those who don't know which AF beer is the best one to go for! Might order a box of these on Friday (payday:D:D:D)

  • Hi to everyone, came across this topic whilst looking up something else.,I had my last alcoholic drink on the 23rd May 2003.Spent years cutting down, changing drinks, limiting how many I had, only drinking at weekends etc.etc.For me and I only speak for me it got worse over a number of years.Never realised it was the 1st drink that did the damage.Today I keep it simple ,just for today I dont pick up the 1st drink..I wish you all well.

I didn't realise we had 2 BB's!! I don't realise much so it seems :o so BB and budgie it will be, I hope I remember but if either of you read something I say to BB and you don't get it then it's probably for the other one :rotfl: least I won't have drink to blame anymore!!

I will sit and be confused for a bit and then realise who you are talking to!:p But this isn't a new thing for me anyway!

A cautionary tale for you - a couple of weeks ago someone I know got drunk, went into his place of work (there were only 3 members of staff there at the time) and generally made a nuisance of himself. He sexually harrassed my daughter who was one of the 3 and now faces losing his job. Can't put any more detail really just in case but the lady in charge reported him (my daughter just wanted to forget it and not get anyone into trouble).

What a stupid way to lose your job! It makes me think of all the times Ive been absolutely drunk and done things I regret the next day (although nothing as bad as this!).

This, my friends, is what alcohol does for you!:o
