My DH is going out tonight so not at all romantic here! Do feel guilty though cos I found a card waiting for me on the fireplace this morning and realised my card to him is still unwritten and hidden in the car

Couldn't agree more, great post. Nicotine doesn't change your mood, make you aggressive, make you argumentative, give you hangovers, get you into fights, make you miss work, make you so selfish you ignore the ones you love- yeah its certainly a different beast- if only the same sort of money was spent on alchohol services as for quitting cigarettes eh?

I do think there should be more investment in alcohol services for the community, it's certainly needed. I just was going to say though not everyone has a bad relationship with alcohol. Some (lucky) people can just see it for what it is and have a few drinks and enjoy it sensibly (I wish I was one of them.) Although saying that I only had about 3 glasses of red last night.

I am still on 7 days as I will be drinking again tonight. I need to get 7 days in before the end of February so I'm sure I make my target.

Well done on losing all that weight GP and I hope everyone is having a nice Valentine's Day!:A

  • Evening all

    Quiet on here today?

    WB 12 for me please!

We have OH's kids tonight so no romantic evening for us !:rotfl: Instead I am roping them into helping me make dinner, decorating the table etc. Then we will all have a game of Mr and Mrs afterwards (usually good fun!!). Should be a good fun evening. AND without the benefit of alcohol in me!:T

My lovely Dad bought me a personal CD player so I can lay in comfort to listen to Paul McKenna. I'm trying hard to follow his guidelines in his book about losing weight. Even resisted the almond croissants in the Marks and Sparks cafe earlier!!

Well I hope everyone has nice Valentines Evenings planned. Budgie am SO pleased you have your son home for the weekend. Enjoy!!!

Fedup Hope you are feeling better. Look after yourself today

So an AF valentines day for me making me on 9 please winey. Off for a couple of days jollys now so I am packed and ready for the naughty step :o I will however be keeping within sensible limits particularly now as all these AF days mean that when I do have a drink my head is rotten the next day and I dont want to throw away my hols to a hangover. I guess thanks to you lot I am now a cheap date :rotfl: :rotfl:

I will pop by to see how you are all getting on so have a great week

  • Blimey, 7 posts all day yesterday. Everyone must have had a very good valentines day ;)

    5/11 for me please winebox

Played a great game last night with our friends, called "the most horrendous horse racing game ever" or something like that. Its a dice based game but you have different odds and you can bet on yourself or your opponents to win and then you have cards which you can sabbotage your opponents (or yourself) with.

My friend who brought it said it started a three year rift with one of his sisters...

.....when they were both about 24

Anyway, it was a good laugh.

Will try and be AF today. Need to focus on my target and bag a few AF days as more partying next weekend. Its a tough life...

  • Morning all (well, those that are about!)

FUAS - hope you are feeling better today
Budgie - still happy I hope!

    Winebox 13 for me please!

Quiet day today. We are going to try and get some energy into my very listless teenage step-daughter. Apparently she's not like it at home. Trying to get Daddys attention methinks!

Hope you all have good Sundays
