Virtual decaf is the order I reckon!! Plus virtual mint feasts and choklit bars (that way they don't have calories!!!)

Hope everyone is safe and warm, and if you are snowed in please don't drive (Jo take care), if you don't go out you can't pop in the shop for a bottle or can.

Unfortunately got no food inthe house and there's 5 of us here!! The local convenience/offy only has overpriced microwave meals and I do love to cook from scratch!! Me thinking another hot curry tonight, made chicken biriyani last night but thinking of kofta curry tonight!! Well, it's cold out there!!

    Hi all,

I am pleased to say I am 2 days into Feb A/F. and today should make 3

Also, I had 1 more day in Jan which brought me to 10 and not 9

I am starting to like this and am going to try to beat my target for this month.

Thanking you all again. I don't post much but I do take a lot from all that do.

OK good luck with the curry

I reckon if you think about the calories of a bottle wine v the calories of the treats - then.......

The treats need to win - if I was there I would treat you to some choklit.
I don't like it so its wasted on me - will make some toast......

    Hi Nessa,

Well done on your AF days, one is so much better than none and 10 is positively fantastic!

I don't post much either (unless I am having a quiet day at work, hee hee) but just reading this thread encourages me to have an AF day.

I am going out tonight and determined not to touch a drop.

    Thanks guys xx

I'm really panicking about tonight, the alcohol has left my body but I'm still feeling the habitual part of drinking, I love the new found organisation I have in my life, the quality of the time but hate the length of the evenings!! I want to go to bed by 8pm!!

I felt a bit like this last month, however this month I couldn't wait to start the challenge. Even after mt accident I am not tempted to drink in the slightest. Last month I found having a big mug of hot choocy helped on the evenings I wasn't drinking. Now I am going to bed at 8pm if I want to over this month with my teeth brushed and no temptation of drinking as a result.

We could all meet up for a virtual mug later if you like!

I am finding whiplash very painful indeed and with 2 doggies to walk its not much fun!

    Thanks Imelda,

I get more determined the more I read this thread also, and as a side, I have been back on SW for the last 2 weeks to get in readiness for my hol end May and I have lost 5lbs since doing this, which I am sure has helped/

I certainly feel better (if I could get rid of this wretched cold :rotfl: ) than I have done in a long time and my skin looks so much better also, still waiting for the memory to kick back in though :o

Hey ho, with a little effort I am sure we will all be fine.

  • Hi all, not been on here for ages other than to read through redundancy threads as my job is looking precarious!! I haven't read all the posts but found the one for final tally for AFJ and you all have done so well

My pregnancy is progressing very slowly (seems like it anyway!) I am now almost 14 weeks and my morning sickness has nearly gone thank god!! Have had 2 glasses of wine in the last couple of weeks but really didn't enjoy them and have completely gone off 'pretend' alcohol too - very strange!!!

Hope everyone is well and geared up for a good AFF

    Lots of love

then go to bed at 8 with a nice cup of tea and a book, sleep at nine and wake up fresh as a daisy for the next day. I crave sleep most of the time and love an early night!

imelda, good luck for AF tonight and welcome to Lilith.

:hello: Shoppy. Glad your pregnancy is going well - have you had a 12 weeks scan? Kinda cute, huh?

Here's to tonight being AF for those who wish it, or moderate enjoyment of a glass or two for those who are cutting down. For those who end up getting hammered and feeling terrible, why not come on in and join us?
  • Hugs fed up xxxxx
