Hi Yellow Monkey, (Aka Spiderman) :rotfl:
I saw that Mrs Lurky was on the score chart, (BB aka Hetty Wainthrop) :rotfl:Mysteriously she has now changed her name to: Esther Mcvittie? Draw your own conclusions?
On that note Mrs Lurky perhaps you could pm Mrs Bhb she does a wicked frying pan around the head, as poor Mr Bhb can tell you, that is when the ringing in his ears stops. :rotfl:
I am Feeling a tad pleased with myself as I have been to the pub for lunch and I ordered a non alcoholic ginger and soda. I am also being taken out tomorrow with work and I intend to order a non alcoholic drink, even though people are trying to persuade me otherwise. So dearest Lurky score so far is 21, yay :T Oh and duck, I SAID DUCK... Nice one Mrs L :T (If only I had a frying pan icon)....

Thanks for the welcome messages - it's great to be part of the group.
3rd AF day for me. Had a pretty bad day at work and was really craving a glass of wine this evening but the thought of catching up with everyone on here tonight kept me going and I managed to resist. Which is not bad considering last Weds I bought a bottle of red to just have 1 glass and of course drank the bottle, and the Weds before that went out for just the 1, drank til 2am, forgot to set the alarm, woke up in a panic at 9am and had to phone in sick. Midweek seems to be my downfall!
Hope everyone's doing ok.0 -

well done everyone.
had another of those, "why on earth do I bother?" days.
!!!!!!...how is that some people try and arrange things for your kids that cost an arm and a leg and seem surprised when you get cross about squandering £50 on a jolly because they assume everyone's flush with cash....
at least I can proudly say I don't drink or smoke and I simply can't afford it rather than won't cut back to save the necessary cash.
this should probably go on one of the ranting pages but thought you guys would appreciate it....
best go before I start using capital letters and punching the keys into the keyboard so they stick.:mad:For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
Well, thanks to everyone for the 'Happy Birthdays'! It's been a quiet one (wednesday being OFFICIALLY the most pants day to have a birthday on) but Mrs GP is planning something...she handed me a little gift last night and said she was '...still organising the proper present...'
Very cryptic
Still not felt the need to drink anything yet, so my Jan AF running total is 20/21.
Apart from actually 'feeling' a lot better, this is having a staggering effect on my Lardloss. In the past it's felt like I've had to work my backside off at the gym just to maintain the same weight, because obviously there has been a good couple of thousand extra calories a week being consumed (Actually, probably a couple of extra thousand a day, some days...)
I'm currently doing an hour after work on the cross trainer, and in I'm also finding a bit of confidence / self control in terms of eating: Where before I would walk into the kitchen an hour after tea and make a sandwich, I'm now able to have a quick chat with myself and ask 'Are you really hungry? Do you really want that, or are you just doing it out of habit?'
And of course I'm not drinking myself into a stupor and ordering a 14 inch pizza 3 to 4 times a week...;)
So, I'm getting towards the 18 stone end of things now. One of the targets I set myself was to get myself up that overhang at the Climbing Wall so it's time to start attacking that little baby next week because I've been avoiding it... Will keep you informed...
