Morning, checking in on day 2 :D

Just a quickie cos gotta be at the docs in 10 minutes (think I got a chest infection :()

Just wanted to say, TRC, sleeping is notoriously hard when you are used to drinking and stop just for one day. I said last night that I didn't expect to get a good night and also have vivid dreams and I was right. Summat to do with no alcohol which usually dulls everything and as I didn't have it my brain was stimulated all night long. This will pass after a few days/week.

Gotta go, only got 9 minutes to get there

    Be back after xx

    Oh, well done everybody!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems to do the opposite to me - just to be awkward ;) ; I sleep badly when I've had a lot to drink & very heavily when I've been sober (ie I didn't really sleep in 2008).

The dreams are weird though - I just remembered I dreamed for what seemed hours about......this thread! And more specifically, BHB!! (goodness knows why - you must have posted something along the line which niggled into my subconscious!) - but I can't remember the detail now (phew....)

that is so weird - took me ages to go to sleep (always does after a binge) but then i dreamt about this tread and eselt , she was like a fairy!

rc the sleep thing is awful, i suffer badly from it. i used to use the excuse to drink because it knocked me out, but as the OP said the quality of sleep is rubbish.
this year i am really going to try and get to bed earlier and get some decent sleep!
AFD 2 for me today, lurky add to me the list !! xx
well done everyone lets crack it
    :D

Back from docs, not got a chest infection but a strained intercostal muscle under my 6th rib!! Bluddy hell is it painful. Thought I didn't have an infection cos I've not been coughing or anything.

Well to be honest, I feel quite carp today, not hungovered but generally run down and I'm wondering if this is the alcohol haze that's still in my body. I don't think I'm ill iykwim, hopefully after tomorrow when the alcohol has left my body then I'll start to improve and get Springwatchgirls's sunshine in my life, do you all remember that post, I'm going to have to find it cos I found it extremely inspirational.....lemme go look...

    I found it:

    Post by Spring Watch Girl:

"Well, week 5 of no alcohol and I see a different person in the mirror. My eyes no longer look dull and vacant, they actually have a little sparkle and my skin doesn't look like uncooked pastry anymore. I feel that I have won a battle but not yet the war. Hope everyone else is at the point they want to be, I never want to be that person I was, I have been tempted but I just think back to what I had become. The sun is shining at the moment and I feel good and want to continue to have the sun in my life."

I hope you are okay and reading this thread SWG, you've not posted for sometime, let us know how you're doing :)
