I loved those books. Some excellent cartoons in there. I do like "alternative" humour.0 -

hi to all our new peeps & big congrats to tilly! what a great start to our PAD week
just to add to last night's chat, i don't iron either. at all. i am clearly some kind of relation to terri (american cousin perhaps?) in the smoothing down approach. i also tumble dry some stuff. and i don't buy high maintenance clotheslife's too short - but i have heard of quite a few people that use it to wind down, so whatever works, eh?!
PAD today *****1.09***** and i'm back on track with another no spend day. cleaned today - hoovered, dusted etc (finally! been putting it off for ages) and batch cooked chili, which i must deal with in a minute (been in slow cooker since 9.30am), and made a pile of meatballs (some eaten, some frozen) and also a bread and butter pudding with some leftover smartprice teacakes, which were pretty horrible as teacakes but lush as b&p pud! and changed all beds, and 4 loads of washing & it's all put away :T
so feeling pleased with myself, as have been really struggling to get myself motivated the last few weeks...
have a good night all xxxMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

£1 today - think I went a bit overboard at the start of the month hehe! Gonna make some little pads for a while now untill it's closer to the end of the month, don't wanna accidentally run out!
On a brighter note, I was informed today that I am actually entitled to two hours pay for planning the tutoring work and not just the half hour that I claimed for. Thats an extra £35 quid coming at the end of the month! :T
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

Bit of a strange day today having found out that I will get a bonus for my efforts in 2008 but it seems to carry some wierd terms.
I'm hoping for about £2500 gross, however only the first £2000 will be paid, with the remainder being paid in annual installments over the next 3 years.
I suppose I should be pleased to be getting the bonus, but I'm strangely down about the whole situation. I think it's just insecurities about the future.
I know I'm in a much better position than a lot of others so I'll be grateful for what I've got.
On another note, part of the bonus will be being spent on purchasing some portable studio equipment so that I can build my photography business.... speculate to accumulate eh !!
Ooh you work for the same company as meI can tell by your weird bonus :rotfl:
I have the same feelings of blah about the bonus situation. I just hope I won't have to use it - most of mine is going to my "Oh Sh*t I'm Redundant Fund". My department still don't know how much we're getting, poohsticks.0
