£1.07 to barclaycard for me today....isn't funny that since I've started paying back my debts I'm getting all sorts of offers for credit through the post!

    Have a good evening all.

    Hi & welcome Andy hellowave.gif

You will soon be addicted like the rest of us.

Well done on the nice home-made gift too - especially as no leaving drink I have ever attended has stopped after £5 :rotfl:
  • Yay, the big payments have caught up, and the BT has gone through.... so to 'catch up' I have paid £100 off the Sainsburys card and £26.81 off the Halifax card.... but in true PAD fashion, I have been adding change into my piggy pank every day :D

Thanks for keeping us all up to date FF!

    PAD today £126.81

Well took my own lunch in yet again today and resisted buying chocolate this afternoon. So another £2.50 saved today.

I'm just making some butternut squash soup ready for my lunches for the next 2 days and save myself even more this week:j

Enjoy the rest of you evening everyone.

  • Hi All

No PAD for me today, as expected, but I wish there was!

At the moment I have around £9 in my jar ready to make a payment on Sunday and have added 10p to this that I found in a jeans pocket just before it went into the washing machine. How many of you make extra pennies this way? I've always told OH and kids that any money I find in their pockets on washing day is mine to keep as a 'thank you' for doing their washing:rotfl:

  • PAD today of £5.07 to Barclaycard.

Need some advice on my predicament please:

My car is on it's last legs, it needs a new gear box and things with the cost at £2,500 which happens to be the same value as the car so obviously not worth repairing. At the moment I am still driving it because I can't afford a new one and am trying to save for a new car.

I have about £1000 in my savings which would obviously make a nice dent in a credit card but need it in case the car gives up completely BUT what if the car keeps going for say another 6 months and then I have wasted all the interest OR what if I pay it off the credit card and the next day the car gives up and I can't access any money???

I can't do without my car, I live in a little village with no public transport.

I never have any luck with my cars, this is the most expensive car I have ever owned and because of the design a normal repair costs loads more than a basic car and I am !!!!!!ed.

    I could cry with frustration!!

  • Eager Elephant I think I would keep the money in savings a car is obviously a necessity and you need to be able to access the money easily just make sure that it is the highest rate a/c ISA etc.
