  • oohh lovely! when we have a half term week, we try to plan about 3 days out (maybe mon, wed, fri) and then have home days tues and thurs for baking, playing in the garden, recovering from days out etc. your kids are a bit older than mine though, but could still be a game day (or wii tournament if you have or can borrow one) or cooking activity.

do they like walking? (like picnic day out on a trail type day?) or orange wed 2-4-1 on a wednesday if applicable? any good bowling deals near you? (our local bowling place does some good ones). any museums that interest you that are cheap/free followed by a meal ?

sorry if rubbish suggestions for your ages, mine are nearly 4 and nearly 8 & still very easy to please! :D

Thanks for your suggestions tomtombeanie - looks like we have similar tastes in entertainment despite the difference in the ages of the kids. Ideally we'd like to go for a walk with a picnic, but not sure about the weather, so that one's a 'wait and see'.

Hadn't thought of bowling though, there is one quite close, must admit I have an aversion to putting my feet into warm & sweaty hire shoes tho....urgh!!!

The kids have now asked if we can go to Longleat (not sure if it's open, mind). This might be a good idea as long as we take food with us. I'd love to see inside the house, and OH and the kids would be entertained by the animals.

Failing the above it's a film n food (per your suggestion!).

Whatever we decide to do, it'll be great to have some time off work!

Ooops, forgot, PAD today = £1.11

  • £1.12 for me today. Put it on the Virgin Credit Card.

Also opened a 6% Barclays Savings Account so I can start saving for the final payment of my kitchen due January 2010, otherwise the interest will kick in and I don't want to pay anyone any interest anymore......

Booked a table at a table top sale in March. so I now have to sort all the kids toys and clothes out and see what I can get rid of. Cost me £10, so I hope I get it back.
I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 2010
