  • Evening all

My amazon payment for the book I sold last week cleared today and I also sold another book today :T .

So total PAD £16 of the halifax cc. This now takes the balance on this card to less than £400. That's £101 paid off the card since the start of February and we and not half way through the month yet. :T

This PAD challenge really works and at this rate of going the debt will soon be gone.

    Keep PADing everyone.

:) Is anyone else doing anything special for Valentines Day?:smileyhea

We always go abit OTT at valentines day, but think that has always been to make up for the fact that we never get to spend the day together. OH is a chef so always has to work, but this year he has got the day off. So rather than buy presents we are going to spend the day together then go for a cheap but romantic meal together :D

  • Good evening everyone - hope you all had a good HUMPday! (Love that!!)

Welcome to Olliegami & tobedebtfree! I'm pretty new here myself, and I have to say I think it is the most supportive forum on here. It is amazing how those daily payments make a difference!

mmy - congratulations on the new role in work! I love it when the universe gives you just what you need; no second-bests!

I'm getting myself in a bit of a panic looking at my finances for March. I've far too many birthdays this month, including my mum's 65th. Bless her though; she said she doesn't need anything, and wants us all to put the money we would have spent on her towards buying a cow or a goat for a community in the developing world. I feel a bit bad, but I am thinking "hey, I can't get cash back on that!" I also wasn't well during January, and therefore the pay I get from my second job at end of Feb is going to be much smaller than I'm used to. I SHOULD be able to cover minimum repayments (although will probably have to dip into some savings earmarked for other things), but I love the feeling of making a lovely extra repayment.

On another note, I checked one of my credit cards online today to see if my PADs had gone through. I am also looking to reclaim some charges off them (£464 + INT). I noticed that they have applied a fee refund of £104 today! :D Now I'll go after them for the rest. I'm going to consider this £104 part of my PAD - they stole my money after all! So, my total today is £105! And now the balance of that card is below £200! :T I was hoping it'd be below £400 by the end of the month!!
