Thanks paulgonnabedebtfree. Bowel or colon cancer was the real worry a few months ago, however as you say due to his age they managed to convince us that it would be very rare. He is home now with a bagful of medication and has to go to GP in the morning with a letter from the consultant. They think it may be chrones disease or colitis but wont be able to confirm until biopsy results come through. Once again thanks to everyone for your kind words and hugs.Payment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0

£55.00

£1.62 for me today. We've had some sun here today which has made me feel a bit brighter, also found my egg card now has a balance of £475, thats £25 off since the start of the month that wouldn't have gone without PAD :j (other amounts gone to wrong card by mistake:o but still paying debts off!!)
I think I'm just starting to accept that moneysaving is going to have to be a way of life for a very long time and stop trying to fight it. Its hard to change your mind set and to look at life in a different way but I have to do it and will do it. A nice holiday somewhere hot would help though!! ha ha ha:rotfl:
So onwards and upwards and ready to fight another day! I WILL WIN THE BATTLE!!!0 -

hi everyone. so glad your son is back home with you, boysma - hope he is sorted out soon xxxx. and hope you & your sis are okay double trouble. scary times...
well i'm going rubbish on my no spend days this month, haven't bought much above and beyond what i normally do, just have been disorganised about shopping trips (normally go strictly once a week to mr a, but have been out of sorts as shopped at a different time than usual last week, which has thrown me right out!).
anyway, instead of my usual pound and pennies today, i've got a big PAD.i've paid back £1690 to DS1's account, £443 to DS2's account and £130 to the holiday fund. i've also transferred a lump to the savings, but not sure if that will count as it's not debt busting so i have not included it (but then again, neither is my holiday fund...).
so...money to DS's is £2133. money to holiday fund £130.
i feel really positive. i still need to watch what we spend really carefully as my monthly budget is tight. still aiming to get in all my no spend days, but i'm so glad the boys are sorted. we've owed them that money for years.
i know we're all at different places in our debt journey but this thread is great wherever you are. love to all xxxxMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A
