Thanks everyone you are all so lovely.:smileyhea He has just rang me and has had his colon thingy, they also took a biopsy (bit worrying!) but he wont know results for a week so they may let him out later on today or tomorrow then re-admit him when his results come through - fair enough. It's always better to have them home i think. Have a nice day everyone.Payment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0

Sorry to hear that he's having problems. Hopefully the biopsy is just a precautionary measure as it's very unusual to have a serious problem in that area at his age (though it can occasionally happen). There are many things that can cause a problem in that area and most of them are harmless. I had a colonoscopy done myself about 18 months ago as I was concerned about certain symptoms. Although it could have been bowel cancer, it also could have been many other things (I'm 51). It turned out that I had nothing wrong with me that couldn't be sorted out so, with a change of diet and a bit more self care, things seem OK these days. Hopefully your son will find this too.0 -
