Hello all,
a pathetic 1p today into the Take That fund because I can't log onto internet banking and thats all the change I had!
Nothing pathetic about 1p.
It all counts.
To give you an idea of how important 1p can be, I remember being caught short outside one of those very old fashion railway toilets many years ago without the right change (might have even been 1d rather than 1p but not sure now).
Also, if someone receives income support of a "mere" 1p, it opens up the door to other help that depends on being in receipt of means tested benefits.
Also, have you ever been in a situation where you needed something to tighten or loosen a screw and had no screwdriver? I have and a 1p was a great help.
A 1p coin is a treuly precious commodity to be loved and cherished0 -

In other news, the Hoegarden glass is starting to look rather full of mostly 2p and 1p's (I agree with Paul that 1p's are marvellous little things) :j :j

Hi everyone
Didn't post yesterday as DS1 was rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon - he haemorraged badly on Sunday morning. Unfortunately we didn't know until late Sunday afternoon when one of his friends rang us (he's 21) and was staying overnight at his friends. After the initial shock he is doing ok he has all sorts of tests and is going for a colonoscopy (not sure of spelling) today - this is something he has been waiting on for several months from the local hospital. Its unfortunate he had to have such a frightening experience before they do anything but at least he is getting treatment now. Anyhow sorry for the rant not the biggest supporter of the NHS :mad:at the minute although the hospital staff are lovely despite being VERY busy.
DT - very sorry to hear about your sis. My best friend's mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and had radiotherapy and chemo and is clear now so fingers crossed. It really does put money worries into perspective as you say when your nearest and dearest are suffering.
My PAD today is £11.34 to Cap One. I will be a long time clearing any of my debts but well done to all who have managed to completely clear a card (or catalogue) it must be a great feeling. :T Bye for now. xPayment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0 -
