  • Aaargh! Egg have just sent me a "Important changes about your egg card" email! They are increasing my interest rate to 26.9%! I was only at 17.9% 6 months ago! So that's Virgin at 34.9%, Egg going to 26.9%... how am I ever going to get straight?
    xx

Those thieving sods! I have an Egg card at 17.9%, but no email yet. I really hope I don't get one too. I feel for you my lovely, as that's a ridiculous rate hike.

Thanks thevinternet :) They are bruts! Six months ago I was paying 17.9% in the August until they jumped me to 21.9% in the September and now they're hiking it to 26.9% for March! I'd watch this lot! I can't understand it when I'm paying MORE than the minimum payment, never missed a payment, never defaulted etc raah I'm just mad  Just trying to re-jig numerous payments to get it riiight down before things get worse. I suppose there are loads of people in the same boat with the current climate and all that...? Thing that gets me more mad is that the powers above don't seem to be able to do anything about it i.e. cap interest rates period! Crazy crazy.

    Good morning - snow sSp_snowman2.gif snow sSp_snowman2.gif snow sSp_snowman2.gif

Dankosheemo - drat those greedy people. That's why it is so good we are fighting back, paying these fat cats off and cutting up the cards. I hope you can sort your money out to clear them without getting bogged down with the interest rates. Is it worth a call just to see if they'd reduce it? I know it's unlikely but it's worth asking.

Oh Terri - i have spluttered coffee (and biscuits - ssshhh) all over the place when i saw your flasher pic - that is fab!!rofl.gif I hope you managed to get up this morning. I know i shouldn't laugh at your lateness trauma, but the way you tell a story just has me chuckling. It sounds like your house would have been a noisy place this morning with alarms and phone calls. HOWEVER, i do not envy you getting up at that time  , so oversleeping is definitely understandable.sleeping-smiley-008.gif

    Hey all,

I must be the only person in the world without a Facebook or a Myspace :rotfl:

Anyhoo, today I have paid £1.01 to the Overdraft Begone Account and £2 to Barclaycard (I've been concentrating on the overdraft lately and I don't want my card to feel left out!)

    So...Total PAD £3.01.

    It's Friday tomorrow :j
