2 buntings, 3 squares, and a pair booties to update from me please
enjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)
  • Buntings are basically sleeping bags for babies. They can be for live babies to sleep in cosily - I don't see why some people think they should only be for stillborns.

    Hi Kathy,
I've been teaching my 8 year old niece to knit, please can you add her to the list under the name of KLF, for 1 smoothie hat & 1 'Aaron' square.
Please can I also be put down for 1 smoothie hat.

Nikki, Well done for going back to the shop, I would have cut my nose off to spite my face & not gone back, which would have resulted in losing out on the great deals that you got. Hopefully the young shop assistant will have learnt a good lesson in customer care!! Well done.

    Thanks Linda :A

Gosh, everyone's been so busy. Looks like another big update for tomorrow. It's great to have children involved, too. Well done to all of them.

I taught myself Tunisian crochet this afternoon from this excellent online tutorial http://www.iamintheloop.com/artofcrochet/guides.php I had a bit of a practice and I'm halfway through a preemie bib. I've always thought it was really hard, but it's actually very easy. You are supposed to use a long crochet hook but I haven't got one (another excuse to visit the wool shop), and am doing quite well with a standard one.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great day.

DPixie - have a great time in France.

Hello - is it ok if I join, please? I've just finished a crochet shawl for a friend's baby and enjoyed it so much I thought it might be nice to carry on with something useful. I can knit and crochet but find crochet a lot quicker to do. So if you have any patterns that you cn recommend, I'll dig out some wool and get going!

I've joined the Wooligans group too - see you over there!

Hi everyone - you're probably all sensible people and tucked up in bed at this hour. You wouldn't believe I was up at 6 am - I just don't seem to need a lot of sleep. Looking forward to the weekend to get organised with my crochet. Thanks redhead mum and nikki for some more great patterns. Daffodiltulip I am going to have a go at the box stitch - it looks interesting. A couple of questions for the morning - could someone give me a link for a crochet bunting pattern . I keep getting distracted when I do a search! I think I will have to just read the whole thread..... Oh and I know I have some Christmas red and green leftover and read something somewhere about Christmas stockings but I can't find where ...... I have made lots in the past - little and large so just let me know what's required. Just a final thanks to everyone for being so friendly and welcoming. Night Night Jean O x
