Hi Heldun. I would love to knit all day, too, but don't other things get in the way? You've certainly been busy with your needles - I shall add all your items when I update in the morning, thanks.

    Dear Mioliere,
Thanks for your post. Don't worry - we are not disheartened (too much!). Thank you for your suggestion; I will pass it on to our ladies next week at our meeting. Would welcome any other suggestions from other knitting posters of recipients.
Best wishes, we will keep knitting and thank you.

  • Hi all, hope you're having a good day :o

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I've actually found myself knitting in my sleep 3 times today. Only realized I'd nodded off when I got to the end of the row :rotfl:

Anyway, here are my figures for the day:

10 small squares (for Shelley's son) 2 larger squares, 1 hat.
Totals: 30 Buntings, 2 Gowns, 13 Chalky Squares

I think it is really important to keep feeling really positive and feel we are doing good things for people in need. I know when I knocked on the door of the childrens home in Spain they were absolutely delighted/ No-one asked about the wool or stuffing etc.
I do feel Loving Hands and Preemie Uk run by our very own Shezmit would not be encouraging us to carry on knitting if all the items were not very much needed.
So girls keep those needles clicking
Try and do a good deed every day.

  • Evening all,

Have *finally* sorted the cupboard and discovered I have a mini knitting wool shop in there, so have plenty of all sorts to keep me going!
Also have some completed items I'd forgotten were in there, so will work out what they are (size wise) and where they would be best used....looks like they are baby sized, from teeny to about 6 months I would say. Any ideas where these could be utilised?

Also, Shelley, could you let me know if Bradford Maternity Unit needs anything specific - my local mat unit and they were fab with my two - would like to give something back to them too, as well as sending stuff to you for elsewhere (if that makes sense).

    And another thing, in between sorting, doctors and dentists today - have managed to start the tally...so can I pleae be updated with;

5 Innocent Smoothie hats (in readiness for October)
    One small square (20sts, 40rows)

    Thanks in advance,

    Dawn x
