Morning all,
It is lovely to hear what you have all be making, sounds like you are a right creative bunch and a half.
As well as knitting, I like to x stitch and also enjoying baking cakes and things, bearing in mind I currently have a 2 year old DS so time not always on my side!
I have started a preemie body warmer (its 2/3rd done) and also another cardi for DS (in 3-4 so I have plenty of time). Someone also mentioned christmas stockings and sparkly wool....well I have some white/silver sparkle stuff lying about so might 'borrow' your stocking idea...perhaps mini ones to put little presents (or even money) in for my niece and nephew ?
Anyway DS is calling and wanting to play so better get dressed and duly play with some trucks and diggers!

isom - i think you are doing a wonderful job. i have just tried to clear out my desk, and i am so sentimental that i only removed stuff from one drawer - my excuse is that the first one has printer cartridges in it, the second paper and plastic sleeves (which i will obviously use) and the third has gloves/hats/mittens/gauntlettes - which i use, so it was the last one with birthday cards and diaries and stuff in it that had to be culled. oh well, thats one side, perhaps i will do the other later today. off to wash last nights pots and pans from dinner and then off to the wool shop to buy one more ball to finish my ruffle scarf and one ball of little stockings - but perhaps i should look at wilkinsons ....

Hi all. Oh, Pippa - glad you found the pattern in the end!
DPixie - I've made flapjacks, yoghurt cakes (one chocolate which will be iced, and the other with sultanas and mixed spice, and a bread-and-butter pudding. You should have seen the mess - I always have to wear an apron! Anyway, all cleared up and I haven't sampled any yet. Will do that when I come back from the shops.
Orkney Star- post your running totals so far, and I'll add them to the update. You may have noticed that people highlight their totals in red - makes it much easier for my tired old eyes to find!
Well, off to the shops.

Morning all,
Thank you all for your kind words and good wishes, I'm feeling more myself today the murkiness is fading fast.
Shaz - my dust is like that too.lol
ISOM- good luck with the auctioneers today, (((hugs))). Poor kitty they get unsettled easy don't they?
Mioliere - Can I pop round for a cup of tea & cake, I bet your kitchen smells lovely.
Well I must go and re hang my curtains which fell down as DH opened them this morning, I didn't ask!!??! Then I'm going to get started on painting out front so I can have the weekend off for knitting.
Love and hugs to all.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Morning all, hope you are all well and getting some sunshine. It certainly helps to cheer us up a bit - well I think so anyway.
dpixie - have pm`d you re squares.
ISOM - sounds as if you really are having a tough time just now ((hugs)) but you seem to be coping well.
Kathy - must be baking day - a bacon & egg pie for tea here tonight as we are all at home for a change, so putting a banana loaf in at the same time, might do some flapjacks as well as there`s some porridge oats to use up.
Pippa - big ((hugs)) for you. You`ll do your friend proud tomorrow I`m sure.
roamin - Jean, was just saying to kids yesterday I`ll have to get the lum ( chimney for our Englandshire chums ) swept. Have to PAY someone to do it now tho`. Mind you, DS did say he would have a go at it - apparently Dad had explained how to use the brushes last time he did it  so of course he`s the expert now - in theory anyway. I`m just a bit worried in case he turns the brush the wrong way at some point and the brush gets stuck halfway up / down.
re. dusting - what is that ? I forget - oh ....is it when you shift the `top coat` off the tv, tables, shelves, cabinets etc every 5 years or so ?? :rotfl:
Off to see if little lad has fallen asleep - it`s very quiet - he had to go to the hospital today to have two back teeth taken out. He grinds his teeth when he`s sleeping and they had worn away so much that what was left had to come out !!!
Back later.

Pippa- will be thinking of you all tomorrow.
Elaine - I have pm'd you with a couple of recipes, including something cakey for Jean! (((Hugs))) to the little one. I hope he's not too sore.
I think dust is good for the furniture, actually! I love that 'real' look.
Well, off for some lunch then I can sample my cakes!
I haven't forgotten the update - will do it after lunch!

Must be the day for chimney sweeps...poppy cat has been awol since sunday when mum got them home so the chimney sweep is coming today...just in case. Hate to think of her starving and stuck...suspect she just escaped though as she can be pretty quick!
I am ok...it is hard and I am coping but suspect that the crash will come later on...at the moment theres planning and lots to do. Its when it goes quiet that I suspect it will hit me...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
