Loving hands take squares ISOM and they even don't mind sewing them up!
Glad everyone seems abit brighter today.
f1widow - good job it wasn't Mioliere's ironing, it sounds like it was a big box!0 -
Hi all - I must apologise for not having done the update yet. I promise I will do it tomorrow. I don't know where the time has gone today but it seemed to whizz by. Half the day was taken up dealing with tomatoes!
Anyway, Only Girl - I'm glad you're feeling brighter today. We're all here for each other, whether it's knitting related or not! I always feel as if I am amongst really good friends on here.
Pam - I love that cross-stitch cat pattern. Have added it to the list - my DS2 and DIL would love one with cats on it.
Anyway, I'm hoping to sit down with my knitting fairly early this evening, after last night's aperitifs with the neighbours and a late dinner.
Hope you all have a good evening.

ps
reason i haven`t been here is because i`ve been searching all the animal rescue places looking for a new dog to share our home with.
soooo difficult, especially as most of the ones we like are either in scotland or wales
but fingers crossed ,we are going to meet one tomorrow who might be `the one`

Hi Sylvia - good to hear from you. This is the ruffle scarf that I've just made. http://www.caron.com/projects/bliss/B5_ruffle_scarf.html There are a couple of photos on the Wooligans site. It's really easy to make and doesn't take long!
Elaine - what sort of recipes do you need? I'd love to contribute and it looks as if I still have time.

Well -- government initiative
lag the loft of a house for £99 including materials !! Brilliant idea -- but we have 22 years of accumulated life stuff with 3 children and a full time teaching job !!! Full Sunshine Bus was delivered to Charity Shop and tip. So we have spent the whole day in the loft and the landing is full of the really emotionally charged bits and pieces ISOM -- thought of you xxxx Parcel arrived today -- thank you so much !!
I really just want to send a big hug to you all and will catch up when, as we are in the mood, we have done the under the stairs cupboard
What we want is to put the Christmas decs under there so we never have to venture into the loft again !!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
great chalky! Were beads ok match? Well done on decluttering...hope some will be carbooted so at least you get dosh for "things" (like wool perhaps?!). Great that the blankets can be used somewhere ...people are knitting al over the place so shame to waste all that love and work....am also investigating a local small animal sanctury that may like some bits...
off to do beading...want to knit but money making so needs must!
Thanks for all good wishes...am ok at the moment...the hard bit will come mid oct I suspect. Prayers from those who believe in the man up there - auctioneers coming tomorrow!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
