Afternoon everyone - another grey day here unfortunately.
kathy - belated happy birthday for yesterday - sounds like you had a good day
chalky - thank you so much for completing the blankets, they look wonderful
elaine - hope the blankets didn't upset you too much, I think sometimes kind gestures can be overwhelming
pippa - sending you kind thoughts on your loss
isom - hope all goes well - thinking of you
only girl - hope things improve for you soon.
I hope I haven't missed anyone out - if I have - sorry, - but sending you hugs too.
I have actually managed to tidy out my knitting basket and used some of the small bits for some more IS hats. Tried to get my patterns in some sort of order, its not perfect, but will do for now.
There is so much knitting I want to do, but so little time!!
Have a good afternoon all.

Thanks, Ann, I did have a lovely if lazy day!
I have actually at long last done the ironing so it's no longer looking at me making me feel guilty. I've been sat down doing some knitting, too. I want to get a baby set finished for my friends' daughter. I can give it to them when they visit us in a week or so's time. I also must get a parcel ready for Shelley and count up my IS hats, so I shall have to get on with that, too.
I've just remembered I haven't done the update this week. I'll have more time tomorrow now that the big chores have been done, I shall do it then. This week is turning out to be something of a blur really. It must be my new age!

Me again
Had a nice surprise waiting for me at Mums this morning, my sister came up on Saturday afternoon and left me a bag of assorted wool....a big bag :j only thing is where to put it, all my stash boxes are full  hmmm dare say I will find somewhere.....eventually
There was a ful ball of mohair so I might have a bash at the frilly scarf pattern, if I can find it that is, I know its on here somewhere, I saw it the other day and cant remember where, ah well I'll have a trawl through, unless one of you kind ladies can point me in the right direction
better go dish up, I'm off to a friends tonight for a glass or 2, my turn for the wine tonight sooo its to be White Zifandel for a change..... why is it pink when it says white
enjoy the rest of your evenings all
Anne

Orkney Star - the cardie is fantastic. Well done for a first one!
Pippa - what a lovely surprise! I'm sure you'll find a home for all that wool. I've posted a couple of photos of my ruffle scarf on Wooligans. I didn't do mine in mohair - more like a thick crochet cotton - it said DK but was actually slightly thinner. I've also posted a link on here today to another pattern for a ruffle scarf, too. I'll try and find it.

Evening ladies - well its 9.47 pm and I still have not knitted today (nor yesterday actually - it wont do......)
Onlygirl, ISOM, Pippa - am so very sorry things are tough at the moment - big hugs to you all - and as so many have already said we are always here
elaine - I saw your post re: your puter getting wet and felt that chalky suggesting the blankets was really the best thing ever and am so glad you like them ... (Chalky - they are wonderful and thank you on our behalf for all your efforts :T:T and everyone else for that matter :T:T)
kathy - the funniest thing happened earlier - after seeing your post this morning about sending the ironing huge bang on the door and there stood courier (not the most polite one have ever met ....) delivery he bellowed and next to him was this enormous box - I thought oh kathy youve sent me your regions laundry - anyway it was not for me and cursing and swearing off he dragged this box away - meanwhile I stand there like some looney laughing at the door and only I knew the joke ......
orkneystar - fantastic cardi - well done x
oh well i had best go - hugs and warm thoughts to you all Jaqui xxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0
