The moral of this story is read all the pattern before you start knitting..........

Why do you think I always end up in a pickle with a million questions for you Pam :D. The pattern is gorgeous - post a pic when you've finished.
And listen to your doctor :naughty: because it's too quiet here when you disappear! Take care

One of the most useful craft things I’ve ever bought, is this pom pom maker which makes 3 different size pom poms
I bought it on Ebay quite some time ago but the seller is still the cheapest on Ebay
    You’ll find it here;

Oops! Overslept! That'll teach me to have a late cuppa; I never learn my lesson.

Pam- thanks for the update and don't worry about it being late. You've made it so much easier for me just by doing it! Of course, I completely forgot about my own additions but I can add those next time. Re: the Weebly blog site - I hope to sign up today but do you know if you choose a blog title after you've signed up? I'm not sure if my 'user name' will end up being the blog title. It's a whole new world to me, this blogging thingy! Congratulations to PamsPal for her great, great-niece. The pattern is gorgeous, but I do know what you mean about reading a whole pattern through before attempting it! Please, please, please listen to the doctor. As K2tog says, it's far too quiet here without you!

Maytaurus - what a lovely cheerful post. I love all the piccies. I bet F1widow will love the edible car! Thanks for the links and all the piccies - it's such a nice way to start the day, especially if you've overslept like I have!

Well, Knit a Poem squares all ready for posting now, so I shall have to decide what to start next - a good excuse to go through all my patterns and wool.

It must have rained in the night here because everything is soaking wet. The sun is trying to come out but it's still pretty cool. I'm very proud of myself because I've just rescued a spider from the sink all by myself - mind you, it was only a tiddler, but bigger than I would normally attempt!

Well, I think I'll race through my chores this morning so that I can have the afternoon off, so I'd better get cracking.

I hope all the poorly achy ones are feeling a lot better this morning.

    See you all later.

Morning all - i am back in the UK and seem to have left the lovely french weather behind in france. it has taken me 3 days to catch up all the news, so, before i forget ...

congratulations to you that have new additions to your families - love the name summer, it really sounds cheerful and warm. congratulations to the birthday girls too.

sorry for those of you who are not feeling great and who have had illnesses in the family - my heart goes out to you and i send warmest wishes that all is well soon.

my saga with france telecom was sorted out (after a week of waiting in for them to turn up) and we now have a telephone line - yippee - next stop internet!!!

my totals were not very good as the weather was so great that it was mostly too sticky to knit or crochet and the sound of the builders on site was enough to drive me out of the house whenever possible. however, i did learn a new craft from our next door neighbours - bottling all of the surplus that you have from the garden - it was incredible. on one day my neighbour (who is in her 70's) bottled 100 1kg kilner jars of green beans! she was bottling for days before i knew about it, and when she thought that she had finished, her husband (who is in his 80's) told her that she had to teach me all about it - which she did, and it was great fun and also so obvious. they are not very well off, and are "making hay whilst the sun shines" - so to speak. at the end of our stay there, she must have filled one huge chest freezer with frozen goods and bottled about 500 jars of veggies! quite something for someone of that age.

anyway - off to go and check on my hubby who has just returned home with a migrane. as he suffers quite badly and loses the ability to speak coherently, i will need to phone his office shortly and let them know that he wont be in today.

have a lovely day everyone, and it is wonderful to be back and in amongst the chatter.

Hi DPixie and welcome back. I'm so glad you finally have a telephone line courtesy of France Telecom! Your neighbour sounds incredible, doesn't she? I know mine are furiously bottling and pickling things. They have bowls and dishes of things everywhere. The wife does the food and the husband does all the booze! I'm afraid I've just been blanching and freezing things - I wouldn't have thought of bottling runner beans! Mind you, you see great big jars of veggies in the shops here, don't you? I've been saving jars for bottling peaches from our peach tree, which will be my first attempt at something like that. I just can't let the peaches go to waste! Hope you DH feels better soon.

Lorna - I hope your poorly family members are feeling better today.

house is very quiet as the lads have gone back to school today, which also means im back to work at lunchtime.
went doctors yesterday he said its a trapped nerve, but has advised a little theraputic knitting as and when i feel like it as long as i stop before it starts hurting. he did say i shouldnt do my cleaning jb this week - what a lovely man he is. telling me i can knit and leave the cleaning to someone else:T. shoulder still hurts but not so bad im having t resort to the pain killers so often.

sending hugs and good wishes to all and hoping the porlies or those worrying about poorlies have good news soon.

    hello everyone.
Nice to see you Pam. Have you seen the youtube vids on Magic Loop knitting? Could solve all your problems.

Mioliere if you're going through all your wool and patterns, see you some time next week!

    Great post as always Maytaurus.

ISOM good luck with doing a car boot, let us know how you get on. I love going to them but hate having a boot of my own.

mrs-moneypenny great excuse for not doing housework, but if you could just find something not so painful we could all use it. Crochet might be easier on the arm.

    Elaine hope you're ok.

    Love to eveyone. xx
Dpixie nice to have you back.
