Chalky - hope the toes get better soon. They must be very painful. I'm glad DH is feeling a bit better; hope it continues.

Shez - I've stubbed my toes so many times, I really sympathise with you! I noticed from the IS site that Age Concern have merged with Help the Aged, which is very good, but I was sad to see that the hats will raise 35p each this year, instead of the 50p in previous years. Still, every penny counts, doesn't it?

Yes I was wondering and couldn't find anything about the veg pot hats on the big knit site. Wonder if there is a difference because LH HQ is Scottish based .
I noticed the reduction in donation too - reckon I'll try and do a few extra to make up for it!

The link Jean has posted is to ageconcernetc scotland and has all the details for the pattern etc and a Scottish address to send the veg warmers to. Still can't find anything similar on the big knit site. Perhaps the veg pots will be "dressed" in their woolies in Scotland.
Have just done another hat - I forgot how addictive they are! Think I'll stick to the hats and maybe try a couple of the brilliant patterns on the big knit - if I'm feeling brave :). I particularly like the pirate hat and it's easy to while away far too long on their flickr site - off to pick up me sticks again

Hi all. Just noticed that the 'veg pot' warmers have to be in by 9th October, which is earlier than the hats, which have to be in by 16th. Thanks for the link, Jean.

So much to knit, so little time!

Hope you are all having a great evening and that the poorly peeps or those in pain are feeling a bit better.

Off to pick up my crochet hook to finish my Knit a Poem square.

Does anyone have any tips for stitching pom poms on so they don't wobble? Mine look like Churchill the nodding dog :o
