Congratulations Delain! I love the name (well, of course, I would - my new granddaughter, two weeks and a day old, is called Summer, too. No middle name yet; they haven't decided). Hope mother and baby are doing well. A great excuse to get practising with the knitting and crochet!

Shez - hope your toes are not hurting too much.

    Hello everyone,

Just had a quick read through and I just want to thank you for the nice things you said about my lovely Mum. I am so lucky to still have her, she is 87 now and still has all her marbles (as she puts it) and a wicked sense of humour :D
She is one on her own, had an awful time when she was young and right through her teens. but she came through it all.
When my middle sister died suddenly a few years ago it broke her heart(mine and little sis's too) and we both worried about her, she looked so ill, but she picked herself up and carried on.
We knew she was getting there when she started making cakes again ;)
She gets a bit cranky now and again but I know she does'nt mean it and I would'nt change her for the world :A

    Thanks everyone
    Anne

Anne, your Mum sounds wonderful. She has been through such a lot, hasn't she. I bet she's as proud of you as you are of her! Give her a (((hug))) from me.

Shez - I've made fourteen IS hats and will try and get up to twenty. I'm just finishing off the crochet blank, which I need to get off to the Knit a Poem people by 14th September, along with my knitted square, then I shall get the rest of my hats done. I also want to crochet the little shawl that Prfungi found some time ago, for my Mum, because it's her birthday toward the end of the month. I have so many things in my mind that I want to do - why can't I grow another pair of hands?!

Blimey, the Smoothies deadline is quite close isn't it? It seemed like ages away for so long and then it's nearly here! Best get some done. No target in mind but have loads of bits to use up and there is nothing more appropriate then IS hats!
Glad your mum still keeps you in line Pippa - I'm sure you need it!
Chalky small package coming to you.
Shezmit, small box coming to you. I wanted to fill a bigger box but was going to the post office anyway and I thought the figures could do with perking up a bit, so thought I'd send what I've done so far. Edit to add, there may be a bit of finishing to do on the gown and hat as I wasn't too sure what to do - sorry Shez.
Keep being struck with indecision over what to do next!

Happy September to everyone-- The first of the Autumn months snd I have always thought if I was an animal I would be a squirrel -- I so love tucking things away " just in case" I don't hoard -- well wool and craft materials excepted !!!

So now in September I always love making and eating chutney and collecting blackberries. i am also going to try and make some Chilli Jam this year using a recipe out of the Good Food Mag.

Well a lot of people in need of a hug. Sorry to hear about dentist trips Roamin, Shelleys toes, Mrs Moneypenny and such a horribly painful shoulders and other nasty things that people are having to deal with right now.

Also a big hug to you Elaine I can only imagine the frustration. I am sure you have to make a supreme effort to do things and it must be sooooo frustrating when things seem to be such hrd work.

Pam I hope you continue to feel a little brighter - We are all here if you need a moan or scream !! I hope things are better this week. Your pal sounds lovely

Congratulations to Delain-- another Summer how lovely. I am sure she will bring you all such a lot of joy.

I Love Tea -- No Art of Crochet in the shops here so no temptation so that was good !!

Pippa S -- Have you started on your stash yet. And can I borrow your Mum to send a virtual hug to as my Dear Mum would have been 85 this month. Yours sounds wonderful and still cooking cakes! I sent DS and new DIL home with a big chocolate one after the weekend! Its so lovely to spoil them and get a bit of spoiling isn't it

In Search of Me-- Well done on the shawl. I am hopeless at big things and then they get put on the to finish pile !! Under the stairs in the dark !!!

Only Girl -- Glad you had a good birthday

K2tog -- Good luck with the stockings and thanks for parcel on its way
    --
Kinsey and Don 79 -- Hope ypu are Ok

    Maytaurus-- Lovelyto see you posting

Kathy --Hope the family are busy on Skype

I hope I havent left anybody out and if I have its my inefficiency. If you are just lurking or feeling a bit low and not like posting every gentle thought to you. I often wonder where Soblivion is as she helped me so much with Marvin the Manta Ray last winter

Well I eventually went to thge hospital yesterday to get the flu tablets for DOH. He really was no better at all and DMIL who is very frail was getting beside herself with anxiety as she gets frightened by all the hype on the TV. Well whether it was that or the natural progression and drinks and paracetemol I don't know but he does seem a little better today.

Then DD2 arrived home with a very sore toe where someone had stood on it so I have spent 4 hours at A & E this morning with her and she has 3 broken toes in her big toe !!!! She is hobbling around on crutches and has to go to the fracture clinic next Monday to see the specialist to see if it needs a pin and plate !!
The League of friends had a stall at the hospital selling knitted things - what wonderful people

So little creative done here as yet but a quick snooze on the settee a minute a go.

I must finish a little jacket for a friends baby tonight !!

Have good evenings everybody and love to you all
Try and do a good deed every day.
