Hi all,
Been trying to get on to the LH forum but no luck. Is it just me or is anyone else having problems.
Suppose this means I`ll have to go and do something else - I wonder what will win. Cooking / baking goodies, pottering in greenhouse, hooking happily, orrrrrr knitting ????? Decisions, decisions.;)
Have a happy productive day everyone.

Morning all,
Pippa, sounds you like you had a wonderful time at your niece's wedding. So glad the weather was good too. And what a wonderful time with dgs, he sounds georgeous. We bought fishing nets for ds's yesterday for our holiday next week, ds2 thought we were going there and then and was just settling in for a major strop, so I filled a bucket with water and put some toy fish in and they spent the afternoon fishing in the back yard.
Mioliere, What an awful shock for you and the horse. I love hearing about all your adventures.
Maytaurus, Love your posts and all the links to patterns I lose so much time looking at them but I don't mind as it cheers me up.
I haven't got much to update with this week so will leave until next time.
Have good days all.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Elaine - I can't get on LH either - thought it was just me!!!
Chalky - have pm'd you re squares.
Well not a very nice day here. It has been raining, but seems to be fine just now. I don't have anything to update this week, I've been knitting baby cardies for a friend of my sister and really need to get them finished before the baby gets any bigger.!!! Been really busy as well this weekend - finally managed to get to the bottom of the ironing basket - now completely empty. Hooray!!!
Well, till the next lot of washing is dry. If I didn't have to come to work I would have so much more time to do the things I want to do - I can dream can't I.
Have a good afternoon all.

When do you need them by?
Would shop bought toys be acceptable?
You'll just have to do more knitting/crochet etc :rotfl:

Hi everyone
Well, we've been for our first visit to our new doctor. He's French with barely any English; luckily, I had written all our details out and translated them into French, and I was so glad I did because it made the visit a lot easier than it would have been. We've had a basic medical check, and now have prescriptions for vaccine (for polio, tetanus and whooping cough) which we have to pick up from the pharmacist and take back to the doctor who will carry out the vaccination. Apparently, the vaccine is done every ten years. The doctor was very nice, but very French!
We then picked up lots of wine to take back to the UK with us as gifts, then came back here, and I've been a plumber's mate ever since. I hope to have the water back on soon so that I can get on with the dinner.
It's been a beautiful day here today. I haven't had time to check the weather in the UK but I hope it's better there now.
Well, I don't know if I'll be knitting tonight. It looks as if there'll be a bit of clearing up to do once the plumbing is finished, so we may be busy for some time.
Obviously, I won't be able to do the update until tomorrow, I'm afraid, but I should get an uninterrupted day then!

Hi,
K2tog, I even surprised myself too, I've had to learn to be adaptable and think on my toes with ds2, he's autistic and has learning difficulties and can be very demanding at times. Avoided a tantrum and he's been out again this afternoon fishing in the bucket.Lol.
Haven't tried getting on LH yet, I'll have a go & see how I get on.
Speak soon.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Hi all,
Those of you trying to contact Chalky - she`s away in the Sunshine bus just now isn`t she ??
Re - toys. Haven`t heard if we`re getting to have the stall yet, but in anticipation of a favourable outcome, hedgies, tiny teds, anything you fancy, knitted, crocheted even shop bought - absolutely anything will be gratefully received as we can put them on the tombola table, sell them or have a lucky dip maybe, if we have lots of small sized ones. Any leftover will go to Lou for algerian action use, if you all agree to that ?? Any donations would have to be with me by 27th August please.
Had a busy day. Blitzed the kitchen (before somebody sent for Kim & Aggie ) cooked a chicken for dinner, pottered in greenhouse for an hour, so am surfing for a wee while then putting little feet up and getting on with the crochet blanket for friend`s new grandchild or else she`ll be going to school before I get it done.

Hi all, had a a bash at a couple of things today, first I joined up lots of scraps of wool to try out the russian join, it works really well but just seems a bit fiddly so i ended up tying as it was quicker!
And from the scraps I knitted an Innocent Smoothie Hat, I sort of made it up as I went along as I didn't discover the beginner/intermediate/expert patterns until after I had finished it!
Am now onto my third angel pocket in baby pink, I am not normally a fan of pink but I really like this pink. I think its something to do with getting broody and wanting to have a little girl as well as my two boys!
hope you are all well and taking care, enjoy the coming week and whatever projects you have on the go just now.
