Morning everyone, hope you all have sunny weather today.

Just got back from the post office, Shezmit, managed to get your parcel of blankets sent, it was absolutely packed with people putting lottery tickets on. Eighteen in front of me!!!Thought I'd be in for ages, but they were pretty quick.

Pippa, have a great day today.
witchwoopiggy, it's stronger than you think. If you crochet to the end of the round then unpick the last 2-3 stitches you can use that bit to join so have more control where the colour changes. I spent an evening "joining" and rolling into balls because it's quicker, but I wasn't bothered where the join was.
Mioliere, it may have been a quick haircut, but the price wasn't cheap was
    it?
Well, we have sun here, so I'd better go and do garden stuff. Have a good day everyone.
    love

    Hi All
Well done ISOM, you'll be speeding away with them now.
Pam :rotfl:re the pandas. We must have been looking in different places on ravelry!
 - re the haircut Mioliere, perhaps the peasant look has become more appealing - I'm like you, low maintenance MSE cuts usually.
Hope the wedding went well Pippa.
Have made a tea cosy hat with my new shorties and quite pleased with it but could probably have done with casting on another 10 stitches. The needle has bamboo tips which is joined by flexible plastic tubing. I think I have been spoilt by my Addi turbo needle though as the new one is not such high quality but I am looking forward to seeing what I can do with it.
Hope everyone is well. Missing in action - LCWilson and Maytaurus - hope you are both OK.

I'm here thanks. Just had family up from London for a few weeks. Been staying at my sister's house, but spending a lot of time here.

Hoping Maytaurus is ok too. I miss her pictures.

Shelly: Glad you're still needing buntings even though you've reached your target because I've got 139 of them to send :rotfl: Finally found a box which I think may be ok to send via parcels2go, so hopefully I'll get them sent at last.... depends on if I need to mortgage the house to do it :D

Hope weddings and events all went off ok, and that everyone is well. My SIL's sister has just had to go into hospital tonight. She has MS and has had a really bad episode. Been on morphine all day and it didn't even touch her pain. They even had to put her on gas and air to get her into the ambulance. Really upsetting as she's been a good friend ever since my brother married her sister 37 years ago. Hope she's feeling a lot better by tomorrow.

Sig is correct - I had only done one Angel Pocket but I have another on the needles right now so am happy for that part of my total to be left at "2".

Good morning everyone and thanks for your updates.

L C Wilson ( bunting Queen!) Hope all goes well for your SIL's sister. Will be thinking about her.

Maytaurus - we are missing you; hope you are OK?

Pippa - how did the wedding go?

ISOM - it's my third grandchild. My eldest son has two children, a boy aged 9 and a six year old girl, who are both gorgeous! The grandchild-to-be is my DS2's first child and due in less than a week now!

Well, we have friends visiting this morning, so I probably won't have much time on here until later in the day.

Yesterday, I could not keep my eyes open every time I sat down, so not much knitting done at all.

Hope you all have a great day. Will catch up with you later.

Hope you are happy with your haircut
re‘; it's the longest I've ever left it without a trim. It's long anyway so I can just tie it back when it gets in the way,’
I was exactly the same Kathy, ages since I’d been able to tie mine back, but it got cut on my daughters birthday ( 1st aug) when I treated her to a cut & blow, so got mine done at the same time
I don’t think there are any inexpensive hairdressers now, not if you want a proper cut anyway ... my DDin Law pays a fortune!
    How’s the little cat doing?
It’s lovely that you’re looking after her & the tabby kitten ‘with ears that are far too big for it.’ Bless

Well done on your latest items :j:j

Thought you might like this poem taken from the book
    22005-small.jpg
    At the V & A
There's nothing wrong about the wool
    When first it is untied;
    The strands are lying evenly
    And neatly, side by side.
But you should see what happens when
We start to wind that wool!
It gets in knots that won't come out,
    No matter how we pull!
    It keeps on slipping off our hands;
    It tangles left and right;
And long before we're half-way through
    It's in a dreadful plight!
The ball jumps down to find the cat,
    And then it wanders round
And ties itself to table legs,
    And things upon the ground.
And while we're looking for the ball,
    Our Mother says, 'Oh dear!'
'You've got it in an awful mess!
    'You'd better bring it here.'
Reminded me of a more carefree and innocent time in childhood

Re ‘Close the shutters because of the sun? I'm thinking of getting a light box and a snorkel!’
    I agree !!
    I’ve already got the lightbox
But I’m sure you all know how I feel about the weather by now !

We were sitting in the lounge except for my daughter (aged 21 at the time!)

My friend said ‘what’s that noise? glug ...glug glug glug??'
