aww what a lovely post as always Maytaurus...sorry youve been feeling bad..hope you feel better very soon.
Finshed my two squares but cant remember chalky is did I say I would do 4 and whether I did or not would you like me to do a couple more for you?
Hope that all ok...I do struggle with my memory at times as so much going round in my head at the moment with work etc...gets to a point where brain just says "no more"!! I loved the poem btw may...I have one of those wrapped skeins ( ie long thin and then twisted) that is now a ball of mush..mum loves unravelling them while I dont have the patience! Cant chuck it though as a lovely ball of 100% wool. The shawl is coming on nicey and recon I'm half way there almost...although got to suss the trim out! Must on...off to church nd do the tea so if I'm late they wont have any!

Lovely to see you back Lorna, sorry to hear about your friend. You seem to be having a horrible run of health things around you at the moment, hope it improves soon.
Glad you are feeling well enough to post Maytaurus. I love the ribbit frog.
Spent ages last night looking for a man's hat pattern that I can use with sirdar bigga and think I may have found one that might work. The yarn is half acrylic and half wool so feels lovely but it's like knitting with rope on novelty pencils - 15mm needles :rotfl:.
Sunny here for a change - hope it's the same for everyone else.
Off to do some chores.

• Happy Sunday everybody, yet again I am in a bit of a rush, so quick post to say hope you are all well, Maytaurus – the boys would love anything so long as its at my house! I am only having the youngest two and then Tuesday to Thursday, while their mum is in having a minor op., I re-negotiated the deal as PSSO has launched a bit of a challenge on LH and I am so desperate to help them. Just popped in to list the totals for this week – which I am about to sling into jiffy bags and get them off tomorrow.

You are a lovely lot on here, thank-you for all the good wishes for yesterday :A
The wedding went off really well, the sun shone all day, my niece looked beautiful, her dress was gorgeous, black and silver beaded strapless basque top and a the skirt was white tulle (I think, it was very frothy anyway)with sequins and beads scattered over it and so full it was difficult to get close for a kiss....but I managed it :D she has the most lovely auburn hair long and thick with a curl, she just looked so lovely and happy, and the children were really good, I cant believe they have been together for 17 years,(she's 38 although you would'nt think it)
She has a little boy age 5 blonde like his dad and twins 2.1/2 boy and girl who both have her gorgeous auburn hair.
I knitted the first matinee jackets for them, she asked me to and I was so pleased to do it, a lot of love went into them as you can imagine.

She was carrying twins when her Mum died and with the shock she lost them at about 6 wks, but a year later she had IVF again and the result was twins again but happily they are both fine and such happy LO's.
She is a wonderful Mother, her Mum would have been so proud of her.

ooo dear here they come more tears :o

Better go sorry for the ramble

Anne

hugs and a cyber tissue for you pippa....sounds a special day indeed! She sounds like a good un though..some people just dont get the love and time that goes into hm things and I always think that people who do are more thoughtful/precious, esp the ones who dont mind the wonky bits!!

Glad you all had a lovely day Pippa. It sounds like they deserve a beautiful day.

In case people haven't made it across to LH yet, PSSO is asking people to make toys for a stall to raise money for LH postage.
