Hi everyone.
Well, I survived the French hairdresser! I've never had my hair cut so quickly, either. I had a shampoo, head massage, cut and blow dry and it cost €34.50!! I usually have a dry trim for about a tenner in the UK. Anyway, I'm pleased with it but shall look for something cheaper if I can.
The Russian join looks great; I'll have to give it a go because it looks so neat - although mine probably won't!
K2tog - how are you getting on with your shorties?
Elaine - I was up really early, too, and kept popping in to see if anyone was around. We could have had a 'chat' if we'd each known the other one was awake!
Pam - I like the panda info; one of my jobs is for an online question answering service so it may come in handy one day!
ISOM - keep perservering with your squares; you'll get it right in the end!
I completed another Friendship square last night and am just deciding what to do next. I'm finding it a bit hard to concentrate now because DIL is due a week today!

Morning all :hello:
Its lovely again here today, just right for the wedding this PM, still havent tried my dress on....been putting the moment off in case it does'nt fit
Thanks Pol I tried your suggestion re: the Russian join last night, spent about an hour rewinding and rejoining my odd's ball first, I though it would be easier to do a load of joins in one go, it was and I did quite a few hats, the other bonus is....not having to keep sorting colours out :T
Kathy - thats a lot, definitely a one off then;)
ISOM - you will do it just keep at it and it will suddenly click. Thanks for the hugs x
k2tog - ooo nicewhat are they made of?
Elaine - I was up as well it was sooo hot I could'nt sleep, but did wander back to bed for an hour around 7
Pam - Panda's doing handstands ....whatever next.....the things you learn in here :rotfl:
Better go get sorted, and try my dress on fingers crossed

Pippa - wishing everyone well for the wedding today, and (((hugs))) to the bride on her special day. I'm sure your dress will fit and you'll look beautiful.
My visit to that particular hairdresser will definitely be a one-off! The thing is businesses have to pay a lot of taxes and that is passed on to the customer. VAT over here (called TVA) runs at 19%!
Well, we have some jobs to do around the house but we need to nip out to the shops again for supplies - interesting things like flexible bits for one of the sinks. We were out this morning thinking we would get my hair done, then do all the shopping we needed, forgetting that most of the shops close at noon for two hours! I just can't get used to that; it's really frustrating but there's nothing I can do about it.
Anyway, off for a cuppa.

bonjour! Pippa hope the dress fits and the wedding is a joyous occasino despite tinge of sadness...hurrah! Can report one square of right size and one a bit small but I have come up with a cunning plan to make square #2 more special! square 1 is fluffy and girly and no 2 will be boyliscious! Meeting up with people from weezles thread this pm for pizza so excited but nervous!! Love the panda fact...how bizarre...doesent it hit them in the face/run down face?!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0
