Hi all, had a bit of an up and down day today.

Got up this morning to find DD had slept on `Dad`s settee` cuddling his old fleece ( still smells of him as it didn`t get washed while he was in hospital) so not a great start to the day as you can imagine.

Have grandkids just now while their mum is at work and gd (nearly 9 )was telling me she`s getting her bedroom decorated soon so they had been looking for wallpaper - told me she had seen some she liked but mum had said no - when I asked why she said " well grandma, it is white with black splodges and mum said it would look like a cow was in my room " :rotfl:Had to laugh. She`s almost decided to have the white with silver splodges instead - unless she changes her mind while they are away on holiday next week - early request has been put in for some white and silver pillows / cushions for on her bed !!!

Not to be out done on the requests, gs (3) spotted a hat I`ve done for LH and promptly decided he wanted one, " in blue and white please grandma, will it be ready tomorrow grandma ?" Guess what I was doing once they went home, he might be lucky enough to take it away tomorrow. His mum always has a problem getting hats to fit as he has quite a big head for his age - needs age 5/6 usually.

Thought I`d better go out to the greenhouse tonight and see if any of Jim`s plants were still surviving - they`ve hardly been watered properly since he went in to hospital, just a quick spray over with the hose now and again. Bad move as I ended up in floods of tears again, and shouting at him for leaving me to do all the b***dy work !! So strange not having him around getting under my feet.......suppose it will get easier with time, hope so anyway.

Sorry for being a wet blanket and thanks for all your shoulders to cry on.
Hope some of you have shares in kleenex - you`ll get a BIG bonus this year judging by the amount of tissues I`ve gone through recently.

What hard times to go through Elaine ((((hugs)))).
I hope your grandkids keep up with the requests and keep you amused - I love the idea of the cow bedroom!
My youngest son also has unrealistic ideas about how long knitting things takes but I love that he is so interested. Older son (6) kept trying to show me "really amazing wool" last time we went to the wool shop - he was very impressed by all the novelty yarn that looks like tinsel and is hard to knit with :rotfl:.
Just seen Shelley's wishlist for preemies and decided to bite the bullet and do another sleeping bag even though I'm not much good at them - but they are definitely better with Elaine's pattern re-write.
Mioliere I can feel your excitement building as DGC due date gets closer - what a lovely thing to look forward to for your trip home.
ISOM, I'm glad your muffin turned out well, it'll help build your confidence for your next bigger project.
    Back to the sleeping bag....

    Hi.

    hugs to you Elaine! xxxx

I saw the preemies totals to and think I am going to tackle some more angel pockets and the gowns.

Are the gowns you need Christening gowns or another type of gowns??

    Best wishes to all.

ok great, thanks, do they need sewn up or are they fine to leave open as it was? and would you like the bonnet to go with them or not? Can be any colour too or is white best?

    Sorry for all the questions!

bonnets with the gowns are fanastic, you don't need to sew them up as its easier to put them on the babies,

All colours are fine but you can't go wrong with white. :rotfl:
