Hi peeps!
What a yucky day - perfect for what I've been doing - went to a funeral this afternoon - a very close friend of my little brother. There was a power cut and so everything was delayed an hour (fortunately they were able to contact the family before the cortege set off). My brother was asked to do the eulogy and was very nervous about it. He sent me a draft last night - it was beautiful, had me in tears reading it. Everyone was very appreciative and I think he was pleased with his efforts, he's very shy & it was an ordeal for him.
On a lighter note, I went on to see Mum, fast asleep when I got there so being my usual cruel self I woke her up - she was quite groggy and not very communicative until I took the Jelly Babies out of my bag, then she brightened up no end,:j after that it was a lovely visit (?bribery or corruption not sure which:rotfl:).
K2Tog - got the pattern thank you. Just been on Kemps and ordered some Patons Jet, Black 'cos I wear a lot of it & it goes best with my jeans, and Red 'cos I fancy it for xmas - I like to wear something red then and I had to buy some nice grey for xmas - mens hats/scarves prezzies. So - skint again
Thats about it for now - little dog just come in from garden - sopping wet, daft thing, off to get towel an have a wrestle with her (our traditional way of drying off)
'bye for now
luv

Good morning everyone.
Mrs Moneypenny - quite the opposite! I woke up at around 4am and didn't dare go back to sleep because DH had to leave at 7am! I did some knitting and surfed a bit then, when he left, I actually got on with the accounts I've been sweating over. I didn't realise the time!
Pippa - yes, I shall be glad when we are on the boat. I'm starting to jump every time the phone goes! I can't wait to come back, see and hug all the family and friends, meet the new little one, shop in my beloved Co-op (with my £45 divi payout!), drive on the left-hand side of the road without getting funny looks, and spend some time in my favourite wool shop! My only concern is that I really should be more organised this end in case we get an early call, so, for the next few days, I shall be sorting out clothes and buying pressies for the grandchildren, and so on. I think once I've made a start on that, I shall feel - and sleep - easier!
Kinsey - you have made a fantastic start! I will add your items to the last update a bit later on this morning. I have to pop out soon and will do it when I get back. Well done on such a good start!
Elaine - hope to hear from you when you are ready. Lots of (((hugs))) to you - gentle ones.
Maytaurus - I hope you are well today.

Morning all,
It's stopped raining here at mo but the clouds are not looking good. Our week away last year was a complete washout, so I'm hoping it'll be better this year when we go away.

Grand children due in a couple of hours so making the most of the quiet.
Hope the weather is fairly good as there are so many lovely things around here to see and do if the rain keeps off.Grannie slipping in the mud isn't one of them:eek:.

ELAINE.
Good to see you back.Take good care of yourself.
I think I've found the culprit as far as my aches are concerned.Think it could be grapes:mad:.Was being ever so good giving up sweets and choccy and eating "healthy" stuff.Haven't had any grapes for nearly a week and things seem better.
