Oh, Pam, I hope you are OK. That poor young man, but how lucky (for him!) that he bumped into someone so understanding! Not so lucky for you, though. I hope your car sustained no serious or expensive damage. Glad your diabetes check went well. I'm sure someone will be glad of the toy pattern book - sewing is definitely not my specialist subject! It's good of you to offer it to someone.

I Love Tea - good to hear from you but sorry to hear that your joints are playing up. Have you seen the doctor?

Well, overslept this morning; have no idea why. I must have turned the alarm off and gone back to sleep. Luckily, we woke up in time for DH to get off to work just five minutes late.

I have a lovely pile of ironing to do which should have been done perhaps yesterday or even the day before. I can't leave it any longer but, oh, what a horrid job it is!

No knitting for me last night. DH didn't get in until late so we had a late dinner and didn't sit down to relax properly. Will try and get all the chores done this morning so that I can knit this afternoon.

Well, I hope you all have a good day.

    Morning everyone

Pam - glads you are ok, it shakes you up though does'nt it. I like the look of both of them the red hat and the boyfriend so if you would'nt mind I'd love a 2 needle version :D Glad all went well at the doc's

Kinsey - yep you're right with pedals :rotfl:

sylvia - good for you, my little DGDs are facinated watching me knit, the eldest age 5 wants to learn and I managed to get a childs knitting kit from Poundland I'll wrap it up as a stocking filler Christmas, the youngest age 3 sits on my lap and just holds the needles as I knit, she soon gets bored though but I am hoping to teach them both as they get older. its a skill once learned never forgotten.:D

ilovetea -Is it arthiritis? I have it in my hands and find switching from knitting to crochet now and again helps, its always there but seems a bit easier then. I also watch what I am eating, by that I dont mean I am on a strict diet,(always on a sort of diet me ;)) I just dont eat too many things like, tomatoes, peppers, oranges and apricots and dont drink too much coke. Seems to help a bit.

    Kathy - love ironing I do ....NOT.....

Well I had a good knit last night, finished most of the bits and just have the last round of logs to do on the 2nd Memory square, never touched the blanket though.

See you all later off for another :coffee:now

Pam glad you are alright and i hope your car will be. Weve got a landrover and had a similar experience a couple of years ago we were sitting at traffic light and heard brakes squeal DD who was sitting in the side sats at the back shreeked DAD! just as we felt a huge bang it jolted us forward but they came off worse as our towbar virtually cut their bumper in half and stoved the radiator in ours is a works car so DH had a word with his boss and said if there was no damage which there wasnt could it not go on the insurance it wa a young lad out with his mates having just passed his test he got out of the car and burst into tears (DH rang his dad as he was scared to cos he was on his dads insurance. Luckily his dads amte was a mechanic so there said they'd could fix that off insurance if we didnt need to claim.) Boy was his dad mad when he arrived to sort them out! It scared our DD of sitting near the back door for a while as those seats are sideways so she could see it coming
i hope the diabetes check goes ok

Mrs Moneypenny - I'm the same with the ironing. I still haven't made a start on it! I decided to phone my friend and have a chat - talk about putting the evil moment off! I shall do it as soon as I finish this post. Well done on getting on with those squares. All these young male drivers have been really lucky that they've bumped into such nice people!

Well, I had just put the washing on the line and suddenly the heavens opened so I had to get it all back in again! I've hung it up indoors now.

Chalky - my squares are all packaged up and will be sent off to you tomorrow morning. I hope they're OK.

Well, I am going to plug the iron in! After another cuppa, of course!

Thanks to every one who mentioned my joints.Pain killers help but it could be something like tomatoes.I hear that they can make it worse, but there is so much conflicting advice these days.
I have done some crochet, but can only make squares:o.Have a few blankets to send off soon to loving hands. Is that the right place for them?
Waiting for Shezmit to send me some squares to sew together.
SHEZMIT. Are you feeling any better? Touch wood, don't know any one around here who has swine flu yet.
    take care,

Morning ladies - just a quick pop in to say hello and let you know a little birdie has told me that their Wilkinsons have 'hedgehog' wool (eyelash/ostrich) for 25p per ball (Dont all rush at once ladies - I dont have one near enough for me to get to but hopefully my little bird might buy me a couple of balls!)

ilovetea - sorry about your joints - sympathise with you my hands, wrists and knees are arguing with me at the moment (got to go and have xrays aagghhh to see how bad its getting) - take good care and rest loads xx

Well as for the ironing I now no longer have one big pile I have distributed it into three medium piles that way ladies it looks smaller - put a pile in each room :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My son does not like me taking knitting to park (people will laugh apparently!)

I finished off a xmas hat (LH's challenges excited me this time:rotfl:) must not forget shelley as well so have done two buntings as well - almost finished my friendship square (the hat and square I cant add to this weeks totals though as poor Kathy overdid my update last week by these two items so thought I had better get on and do them rather than bothering her to change it)

Well im off to play with a new CD Rom (cardmaking - messy rabitt) my mum and dad brought for my birthday - arrived Wednesday but cant get near the computer when young man at home (im sure you know what this is like)

Well considering I was only popping in quick as usual I have waffled

Hugs to all - Jaqui xx
PS I still cant 'thank' anyone for their posts (my button is not working for some reason since the last updates on here) but as always all your posts are great!! thank you xxx
