Not been in here much over the last few days, stuff keeps getting in the way, like housework, cooking and gardening :rotfl:

I have a few things on needles/hook at the mo, needles are memory square, bunting, vent hat.
Hook is a ripple blanket which I havent touched for weeks, not since we came back from the caravan :o

I have sooo much wool and I want to knit sooo many things(more now I have looked at all the lovely new patterns) the only thing I am short of is TIME ;)

I noticed that some of you have received your poem letter, I have'nt heard a thing yet hope they have'nt forgotten me

I saw a lot of posts for hats on one of the pages but I am sorry to say I have forgotten who posted them....was it you Pam??? :o

Anyway the first one was a lovely twisted rib in red and I would love to have a go at it for a builder friend of ours ( gets very cold on them building sites in the winter)
I would rather do it on 2 pins than on a circular one though.

OH is out snookering tonight so I will have a few hours on my own to finish off some of the WIP

    Elaine - gentle((hugs)) for you
Kathy - :T:T:T yes you got it right TA. Yes I agree I love it when someone posts new links for all the lovely patterns, I could just sit and knit all day and I just want to do all of them.
mrs-m - thanks for the scarf patterns, I was getting a bit fed up with the ones I have been doing and needed a change
Pam - love the penguins, I am going to do a few for on the Christmas Tree, the girls will love them so will DGS
PTB - going to do some of your balls as well in Christmasy colours with bit of glitter in, I am sure I have some lurex type yarn somewhere, only trouble is I have so much stashed I have no idea where to look :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope all the poorlies are feeling a bit better today

hi everybody, been lurking again i`m afraid, but finally got back to charity knitting after making a jacket for myself out of black, brushed chunky i was given;). started on baby hat in red (christmassy for LH extra challenge!)
had grandkids today and to take their minds off food for a while took them to playpark where i settled down with my knitting,i soon became focus of attention:o firstly a young lad about 10 came up and said "i`ve never seen anyone sewing before" so i told him the difference between sewing and knitting;) then a little girl of four came up and asked what i was doing.
but i have re-kindled my grandaughter`s interest and got her needles out again.
    been a lovely day here:j
    hope you are all well:A

Sylvia - well done on taking your knitting out and provoking such a lot of interest. Isn't it sad when youngsters don't know what knitting or sewing are? I'm so glad you were able to tell them. It's great that your granddaughter's interest has been re-awakened, too.

I've just made a little pink hat and booties for a friend's new granddaughter who will be visiting her out here next week. The baby is three months old and I'm looking forward to having a cuddle!

    Hi folks, tis me!

OK I've slipped up, but hopefully to someones advantage, I've been buying some Jean Greenhowe patterns on ebay, & I got a book - Favourite Toys - 50 different toys, all of them lovely but they are sewing patterns!!!!!!!!! So its up for grabs, who can put it to good use! Let me know & I'll send it to you - Mioliere, Roamin et al - I don't mind sending it to sunny France if you can use it!

PippaS - yep! I posted the mens hat patterns - The twisted rib is an easy one to put on two needles the only iffy bit is the decreasing - be sure to offset the numbers so that you're not decreasing on the edge of the work. In this case first decrease row - work 10 sts, decr then work 20? according to pattern until 10 sts left. Let me know if you want me to write it out for you. I've already done the Boyfriend if you want that as well!

At doctors this a.m. - usual diabetes check - no problems so thats good! - Not so good is my car - I was run into yesterday afternoon - fortunately mines a volvo so nice & sturdy - subject to chassis checks etc seems it got away with some deep scratches on rear bumper. The other car - not so lucky - a little one ford/vauxhall  - cracked radiator, piece out of 1 wing (plastic?), bonnet crumpled, headlight cracked - poor young man is distraught - I was stationary, waiting for an oncoming lorry to clear parked cars - next thing - thump! He called today to make sure I was ok - said he's had a rotten week - bless - he's saving up to move out of mum's & now he's facing an increase in his insurance premium - he already pays £2000! says he'll never get a flat! - I wanted to hug him! Nb: - he brought his pal with him for support - very mature, looked about 12:rotfl:

    Eh up - waffling again!

'bye for now - time for some falling down stuff!

    luv
    Pam:smileyhea
