Welcome Tracey04 - glad you decided to post!
Here is a link to the buntings Don mentioned. Ignore the bit about lining them. Hope you like it here as there is always someone to help and always someone who has had the same knitting problems!

Oooh! enjoy!! I love going to London for a show! We only live about an hour and a half away if going by train but still don't get the chance very often.

I will pm you for the address shortly as I have done a little square and got a bigger one on the needles just now.

    Hi
We looked on a late booking site and have got an amazing deal with a train from Devon --- the track actually goes by the sea through Teignmouth, Dawlish and Starcross and then to London

We absolutely love Les Miserables but can't go again so we are booked in for the Lion King.

Will be back as usual on Tuesday and will answer any address requeats then -- happy knitting --- and yes. I will be doing some !! NOT HEDGIES !!

    Good morning everyone.

Tracey - a warm welcome to you. That must have taken some doing, reading this thread right from the beginning! I see you've been pointed in the direction of the bunting; its a great first project. If you're unsure of anything, just post on here and someone will always be along to help.

Chalky - I'll pm you in a minute for your address. Have a great time in London. We saw Les Miserables when the show came to Southampton a few years ago. I bet the Lion King will be great.

I have just a few more rows to do on the Memory Square; DH finished work late last night, so it was a late dinner and, by the time we sat down, we were both dozing off, so no knitting was done at all. I hope to get the larger square finished today and make a start on the smaller one.

Maytaurus - I do hope you are OK. You are missed on here when you don't post.

Anyway, it's early again. I woke up too soon and daren't go back to bed in case I oversleep! I shall make another cuppa and sit and do some more knitting.

    See you all later.

    aren't they cute!

Well, its a grey damp day here but not too bad, sorry for those of you in the badly hit areas wellies and 'sou westers' must be the order of the day!
I promised to take Mum out today but given the weather, I think I'll bring her home to play with the dog and look at my many knitting projects! At least its a change of four walls.
With that in mind, I'd better tidy up a bit (rather a lot actually:rotfl:).

By the way, my hair fright the other night got me to the hairdressers yesterday - now cropped and neat(ish) - definitely more presentable!

    ((Hugs)) to all!

    luv

HAPPY BIRTHDAY mrs-moneypenny hope you have a good one
    Maytaurus

Chalky - I will PM you as well if you dont mind? Have a lovely few days away, and enjoy the show.

Kathy - yes I agree we all have sadness in our lives from time to time, and it does seem to help in looking at things differently, I think it changes the way we feel about things and makes us stronger.
Yes would'nt it be lovely if we could all meet up, what a day that would be :j:beer::rotfl:

I have finished my memory squares, I used colours that I think are calming lemon/fawn/brownish and rust and suitable for both. I also did one in pink/lilac and a purplish colour as well just to try the pattern out really, quite like the combination though.

Think I might carry on doing some more of the smaller ones to sent to L/H for blankets.

Crikey I am waffling on today, must be because I was sooo busy I never got chance for a chat yesterday ;)

    Have good days all

Hi everyone. Just taking a break from my work. It has poured and poured with rain for the last hour but looks as if it is brightening up now.

Your colours sound lovely, Pippa. My squares are a multi-coloured green/blue, with cream to contrast. I can't wait to see the finished blankets. I've finished the larger square and will start on the smaller one this afternoon. I must also get on with some baby things - my new grandchild will be along within a few weeks. I have one cardi on the needles and a couple of other things I want to knit. Of course, once it's born and I know if it's a boy or a girl, I shall be able to make some more things. DS2 and DIL didn't want to know the sex when they had the last scan - he thinks it's a boy, she thinks it's a girl!

Chalky - thanks for pm'ing me your address. Have a wonderful time in the city!

Anyway, back to work, once I've finished my coffee.
