Kathy - sounds like you had a busy day yesterday, that always happens to me when I plan my day out, something or someone puts a spanner in the works  O BTW in my update I have listed 2 jumpers, 1 isnt really a jumper its a slipover but I thought it would be easier to list it as a jumper.Good luck with the accounts
Chalky - thats a well impressive total :T even if it is for a couple of weeks.I started a memory square last night but it's looking as though it will be bigger than 15" if I do the 19 row logs, its 12 and 1/2 and I still have 1 round to do, probably need to do less on the last round. I think its something to do with the DK I'm using, it seems a bit thicker than usual
Tight as - hope you are not too 'achey' today after your run yesterday, but well done :T
f1widow - I wondered about vests as well, but no-one seems to mention them
maytaurus -sorry to hear you have all been poorly, you certainly have had your hands full, hope its getting a bit easier for you now
Anne

good morning lovely people - hope that you are all looking forward to another week of the wonderful friendship that we have developed.
maytaurus, hope that your pet is feeling better - i dont have any for that exact reason (partly) - every pain they experience is a pain you experience too and that is too hard for me. (a couple of years ago we lost 3 dogs in 6 months, 1 to old age, one to cancer and one to some sort of blood disease - it was horrid and i still ache when i think of them!)
i will start my squares today, after my visit to the wool shop, must be honest, am looking forward to it! i think that it is a wonderful idea, and that all of you who thought of it are really very smart.
update
11 squares (these are the 8" ones for knit-a-square)
1 bunting
have a lovely day all
with warm wishes

Good morning, everyone. Just about to do the update - with all your items and the fact that I haven't done one for two weeks, I think it will be a marathon undertaking!
Chalky - have you a time limit in mind for the Memory and Friendship squares? I'm trying to get a cardi finished but keep getting interrupted! I'm going to spend a couple of hours on DH's accounts today, plus I have some online work to do, then I hope to spend the afternoon knitting (that's after I've locked the door so no-one can get in and disturb me!).
Tight As - well done to you; hope the aches go soon.
Maytaurus - hope you're feeling good today?
DPixie - so sorry to hear about your pets. We keep being offered the cutest kittens and my DH would have them all, but I'm resisting them at the moment. We've had cats in the past, and it's always upsetting when their time is up. I'm not ready to go through all that again. A little black cat here has adopted us, though, so that will do for me at the moment!
Well, I'd better get on with the update.
Have a good day.

i think i posted my last update kathy it was for pads and st covers i posted it over a week ago i cant remember exactly how many i did now but they have been posted off to lou -if you cant find it or dont have a note dont waste your time searching.
put me in for doing a couple of squares-it goes without saying that one of us would come up with a suggestion of trying to do something for Elaine, well done Chalky for putting the thought into a posting and getting us all united in a project. ive never tried the log blanket pattern before but ive printed off the pattern and the instructions so will make this my priority project -who are we sendig the squares to i missed that bit. is it you for both chalky?
sending love and kind thoughts to Elaine and i hope she has the support of good friends around her.
sending love hugs and good wishes to everyone else.
i hope all are well and as happy as can be.
didnt want to post this last week as it just felt wrong but to try and give a little happy news now we are attempting to get back to chat ill let you all know about the results of the awards ceromony my son was nominated at. it was a wonderful evening and he did get an award:T he got a lovely silver trophy for speaking and listening from the english department, needless to say i am really really proud of him.

Morning all,
Mioliere - wow! we are getting quite a list on the totals now. You are a star for updating it I'm sure I would make a complete hash of it myself.
Good luck with the accounts, that sounds like a big job too.:A
Mrs Moneypenny - Congratulations to your son, you must be so proud.:T
Maytaurus - Hope you and yours are feeling better today.
Tight as - Well done hope your not too achy.
We are meant to be doing a fun run this afternoon at my son's school, their predicting rain again today, it's been cancelled twice already so fingers crossed it holds off.
Have a good day all.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:
2 preemie hats, 2 preemie gowns, 1 bunting, 1 sleeping bag, 12 chalky squares0 -
You just be very proud of your son Mrs MP - well done him :T
I was hoping to get out for memory square wool today but DS2 has high temp and DH off work ill and waiting for Drs appointment later so it's looking unlikely. Might be able to tomorrow depending on DS who has perked up a bit - thank goodness for kids ibuprofen.
Must also do some ironing today as the pile resembles the leaning tower of Pisa.
Have a good day all x0 -
Sorry Kathy
but I've just checked the updates and guess what...youve missed me off, they are the first post on this page, it's been ages since you've forgotten me,;) quite like old times :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Enjoy your knitting afternoon, earplugs are good as well as bolts

Good morning everybody
I hope this new week finds us gaining strength in each others friendship and support.. Elaine we are all sending our love across the miles to you as these must be very difficult days. I am sure you are surrounded by loving family and friends but we are also here for you when you feel able to drop in.
Maytaurus-- Here's hoping you have a better week and I hope you know how much we all appreciate your unique way of representing us all. The time you must spend on your posts cheers us all.
Mrs Moneypenny- Lovely news I bet you were so proud
pets- We had our very crazy dog "Patch" for over 16 years and I am with the camp that I could never lose another. I actually do miss having a dog as I grew up with so many animals as my Dad was a vet but we were so brokenhearted when he died. I wouldn't trust myself at an Animal Welfare Sanctuary though!
Hope yours get better soon.
SQUARES-- Again THANK YOU - I hope everyone is enjoying doing them . I know we all love choosing the wool. I am quite happy to sew them both. DMIL will help and at least it will save people having 2 lots of posting. We leave to go back to Spain in early October so I guess anytime is fine up until say the 21st of September. I don't want to put anybody under any pressure so will just welcome the squares and get going ,colours allowing as they arrive. Please pm me for the address when you need it. As I have said I will take photos so we can all see the progress.
I am thinking I may do a few rows of double crochet around the edge of the whole blankets so that they look finished which should help any uneveness in size
PIPPAS-That sounds a really good idea -- just to keep an eye on the size as you knit because different wools make such a difference and just add or subtract a couple of lines to a log row. But as I said please dont worry too much this is all about the love not the product being perfect.
I am sure which ever charity gets the blanket it will be appreciated. With Elaines I expect the squres will be more accurate because they are smaller and as I say if I do a couple of rounds of doulble crochet it will look really finished as I would like hers to be especially SPECIAL from us all
Have good days to everyone
Kathy I love to read your posts because you sound so happy -- and excited !!
TightAs- Congratulations -Hope you are not too stiff today
Anyone heard from Shelley?Try and do a good deed every day.0
