Hi peeps - ((Hugs)) to all !

I’ve been a bit tunnel visioned with my posts this week ‘cos lots of things going on in my life just now

Maytaurus – looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Psso – I hope things are going ok and you are coping with hospital visit etc – any more words re your DH’s op ? ((HUGS)) to you and your DH

LCWilson how’re things? – progressing well I hope. Keep strong and keep in touch.

Shezmit – glad you’re enjoying your crochet, I hope your hand continues to improve. I’ve tried bamboo needles ‘cos of achy hands and don’t really notice a difference – however I’m finding that switching to circular needles for larger projects helps by taking the weight off my hands and wrists, although I still knit ‘back and forth’, especially good for “lapghans” and larger baby blankets.

K2 – glad the tips seem to have helped a bit.

Shazrobo – keep you chin up, fingers crossed for the next hearing.

Dpixie - you have a wonderful way with words I read your post and I felt loved and grateful to be a part of all this!

Mioliere – you seem to be settling in very well and you’re so busy, you probably won’t have time for today’s

    isn't it sweet!

Sagaris, well done with the blankets - Shezmit will welcome them for PreemiesUK if you wanted an alternative.

Lisasparkles - welcome, I'm sure you'll enjoy this thread - its a great bunch of people.

Mum is doing quite well just now - I took her out for coffee and cake on Wednesday & we had a lovely time, she was in really good spirits and the weather was beautiful.

I finally decided what to do for the baby blanket I got stuck with - the lavender one is still at the bottom of the pile - it will get done later, meanwhile I've started a Sideways Shell in a self striping wool - looking good so far.

Seems I've gone into overload - typical - all or nothing.

    Take care everyone

    luv

    HI all.

Pam - that is a gorgeous pattern. I shall definitely make it if my DS2 and DIL have a little girl in August!

I'm so pleased your Mum is feeling bright and doing well.

In Search of Me - that's a gorgeous hat.

Sagaris - well done on all those blankets. You can send them either to Preemies UK (which is run by Shezmit on here) or Loving Hands (details in the very first post on this thread).

Maytaurus - we're all wondering how you are. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Well, it's lunchtime here and I'm starving.

Hi all, just popped on for a wee while - have to stop for lunch sometime so killing two birds etc.

Been so busy for the past fortnight with DH in hospital and trying to keep things `normal` at home - I feel like a little hamster going round on it`s wheel.

Well, DH was told he`s going for surgery on the 2nd July, so I`m getting a bit twitchy now, trying to remain positive, but always aware that there`s a possibilty things could go wrong - but i`m trying very hard not to dwell on that side of things.

Things aren`t quite as hectic at the weekend as through the week. Not so much rushing about `taxi-ing` DS & DD to and from work etc. Times like this I wished we lived on a bus route . I can go in to the hospital for afternoon visiting, have something to eat either in the coffee shop or staff dining room, then back in to visit in the evening. Don`t have to worry about the youngsters today as they are out with friends.

`Mindless` knitting is still the order of the day, suppose it will be for a while yet as my brain refuses to concentrate on anything.

Thanks for your good wishes and hugs everyone.

Elaine - you're bound to worry, I know, but at least your DH doesn't have long to wait. Let's hope he'll be back home very soon. I hope you don't get too exhausted with all the rushing about.

Good morning everyone. Up early this morning, for some reason; I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. I'll make up for it later with an afternoon snooze!

I didn't do any knitting or crochet last night. Friends in the UK Skyped us as soon as we sat down after dinner, and we were all gassing for about an hour and a half. It's so good to be able to see people when we talk to them. They are the friends we'll be staying with for some of the time, when we come back in August to meet our new grandchild. They are hoping to come out and see us in September, so we have to make sure there's a bedroom ready for them.

Well, I shall try and get some more crochet done today.

Shez - I keep forgetting the 5ps. I shall definitely sort them out tomorrow and get them posted to you this week!

I shall be updating tomorrow morning, all being well.

Hope you all have a great day.
