Hi all - Shaz, I'll be thinking of your and your DS. Good luck with everything. If the Jean Greenhowe topsy-turvy doll pattern has gone, I have it and can scan and send it to you! Have a great time at the coast, and try and take it easy.
DPixie and all those who have half-finished things lurking at the bottom of your knitting baskets - you are not alone! I have taken some of mine and 'hidden' them, pretending that they don't exist! They make you feel all out-of-sorts, don't they? Would love to see a photo of your laptop cover when you have made it! I love the colour of that wool.
I tried some crochet last night, but couldn't keep my eyes open, so I think I did one row - and that was only 34 stitches!
Lucie - gorgeous photos. How proud you must be!
Well, my breadmaker is beeping so I'd better get on.
Maytaurus - are you OK?
Have a great day, everyone.

prfungi have you seen the baby patterns for crochetknit, I'd love to make some of them but can't find anyone who sells the hooks, and I know you wander the net a bit. It might solve your can't find a pattern I like problem!0 -

Hi Kinsey - yes I've seen a few bits about crocheknit - looks quite interesting but, the hooks are difficult so source - I have only found them on US sites. I think I'd rather learn Tunisian crochet first - again the hooks are not easy to find but are available in the UK. and the patterns can be gorgeous.

Great minds think alike! I've just been wandering around the net and found this great tutorial for Tunisian crochet. I've used it in the past - it's great for things like bags because the stitching is very dense. It might be good for blankets, too.

kathy - halfway with the laptop cover, so will try to photograph it when finished and let you have a look.
with regards the unfinished stuff - i am nearly finished one of the doggie blankets - 2 more rows to go so not far. then i will finish the laptop cosy tomorrow and after that the blankie for our neighbour. wont make any decisions further than that in the future, too many bits of wool to touch and see before commiting myself!

Shazrobo - What a pain another few weeks wait. Have a lovely time in Blackpool, it certainly sounds like you need it :A
I am off for a shower now we are going over to DS1 and DILs later, its their wedding anniversary today and he is taking her out as a surprise, so we are baby-sitting our DGS, for the first time:T
He is growing so fast, he sleeps well and he eats anything put infront of him, he's not a picky eater at all, but we will see how long that lasts;)
I will take my crochet with me and see how much I can get done on my ripple blanket.
