You sound surprised to be enjoying the crochet Shez!
I've got a boob on the needles at the moment and then the box will be stuffed full and ready to post to you. It's mainly buntings and some angel pockets, boobs, a crochet Aaron blanket and a couple of sleeping bags that I'm not hugely pleased with but they are OK. Boob will hopefully be finished tomorrow. Hope your hand is feeling better.0 -

maytaurus and pam thank you for all the places to look for patterns - i can see the day passing by without me leaving my desk and without me putting anything more sensible on than my dressing gown! i am sorry, but i am truly addicted. i was crocheting in bed last night (my excuse was that i wanted to finish the wool that i had so i could work out how much more i needed to order from kemps in order to finish this really lovely ripple blanket for a friends baby.... due in november)!
i have found a few patterns and now all i need to do is start them and then ask you lovely people to help me when i get stuck with the pattern directions.
well its time to look at the sites that maytaurus suggested, so i have half an hour (and a coffee or two) to go before i need to start doing something in the garden....
have a lovely day all.

maytaurus - thank you - you have really taken the hard work out of looking for easy patterns, and thank you especially for the oxfam jumper, i looked all over for that, but couldn't find it. you are brilliant.

Hi everyone,
Well it`s a week since DH went in to hospital and he still hasn`t had a visit from the surgeon.
The doctor on the ward says he ( the surgeon) has been very busy all week, but he has said that he doesn`t want DH to come home, in case he has more pain and lands back in coronary care worse than he is now.
He`s due to have his op about 6th July but has been told he MIGHT get it done sooner – if someone else has to cancel for some reason – at least DH will be on the spot ready to go.
At least he has been moved from coronary care to a 4 bed side ward so he`ll have someone to talk to, and he has no `hardware` attached to him so we can go to the hospital cafe and have a cuppa together during visiting time.
The Sands blanket I started when he went in is finished – just have to finish off the border and stitch it on to the blanket – groan. I`ve now started a mini version for the neonatal unit at the local maternity.
Going shopping tomorrow. Have to look for new shoes as my brother is getting married (second time) on the 11th July. (Not really looking forward to it as DH might still be in hospital, but the rest of my family 3 daughters, 2 sons, and son-in-law will be there to keep me company.) Shoe shops are just along the road from the w*** shop. That will be MUCH more interesting than looking for shoes. :j Have a GOOD reason to go in though – my friend`s first grandchild is due in 8 weeks time and I need to get some bits done for her, honest !!
Right off to have a last cuppa and a few rows of knitting before bed – I can have a lie in tomorrow but will still probably waken at 5am or so.
Have a great weekend all.
