yesterday i went to 10 charity shops (yes 10!!!) looking for books on crochet - i was looking for ones with some easy patterns, can you believe that i could not find even one book with crochet patterns in it. i was quite surprised having recently learned that for every knitter in the world there are 3 crocheters. anyway, am looking for a childs cardi pattern and an adults cardi pattern that is EASY. have looked on all the usual sites

    dpixie

    Mornin All,
    - this is a great site for free crochet patterns - (mainly US terms)

Beware - set a timer before you look at these sites or you will join me in too much browsing, not enough knitting:rotfl:

Pam - That blanket is beautiful.

Kathy - Thank you so much for the octopus pattern. I am going to give it a go, not sure it will end up quite the same but sure Pip will be none the wiser!!

    Morning everyone---

This thread really does the "feel good" factor for the day. I DO NOT begrudge the 10+ + + minutes I spend on here everyday catching up with you all. It really does feel like we are a group of friends doing the things friends do best, listening and supporting. And I hope everybody feels included in that especially the newbies. The more the merrier and the madder the better!!! And most importantly if you are as clever as Maytaurus with pictures you can make all our days brighter.

Well gentle thoughts to all those feeling sad, down or lonely and cartwheels to all those celebrating.

Well the good intentions of the early rising worked for 2 days BUT late this morning -I have repetitive "turn over and doze " syndrome !!!! Especially when DOH has gone out early !!

So favour bags are creeping into the day but the 80 are nearly all folded flat now have the tricky bit making the flange at the bottom. Then getting the sweets in without eating them - Thats the hardest !!

Knitting -- shhhhhh - cant tell you as I know you think I am addicted. I an doing the features at the moment then I will take a piccie to show you. This knitting makarky has definitely highlighted the presence of an addictive gene in my character. Last year it was premmie hats, during the winter the teddies, Spring was Innocent Smoothie hats and now its hedgehogs !!

We are taking DDS to the local College for a meal tonight. The students on the catering course are finishing now so this is the last opportunity until September. If you have 1 near you I cant recommend it highly enough.

Have good days everyone - sunny I hope
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Hello everyone,

Maytaurus - You gave me a fright  with that spider picture, far too big, I got panicked when I had a little money one on me the other day. Ds1 thought the big spider was brilliant though.

Mioliere - Is there a pattern in your book for a dinosaur? Hope you don't mind me being cheeky and asking. :o

My ds1 loves cuddly toys too and always takes one to bed with him, he's still quite young he'll be 7 next month. We went to his new junior school for a visit today, I was so proud of him as he stayed calm and didn't cry like I thought he would.:T

Kinsey - I wish my cat would catch the spiders, he is quite useless, he's 11 now and is the strangest cat I have ever met. I have bought him loads of toy mices to play with over the years which he ignores and looks at me with despair in eyes. So for xmas I bought him a toy hen with a ring pull to make it move across the floor and he loves it even puts it back in his bed when he's fininshed playing with it.

Hope everyone is well, Big ((((Hugs))))) to all, especially the poorly ones.xx:D

Shez - I'm doing buntings now, but isn't it sad that you seem to run low all the time? All those little ones that don't make it - it's so unfair. At least we can hand knit items for them and bring comfort to the parents.
