Imajica - welcome to you. I hope you enjoy it here. You've already found the first post where all the info is, but please feel free to ask on here if you are unsure of anything.

  • Just a quick drop by before I fly off to take DS2 to college for his interview for next semesters course. Thank you all for the lovely comments. I am glad that I can be an inspiration to everyone - makes surviving all the more worthwile ;0) I am in the process of trying to set up an ICU survivors group at my local hospital as well as runningn Loving Hands so time is something I have very little of at present. Keep the parcels coming - now that most of our members have got the hang of using Parcel2go.com for sending in their things (it costs under £8 to send a HUUUGE box up to 5kgs in weight and is picked up right from your house and delivered to mine - so much better than paying a fortune for next to nothing through the post office :0) this means that I no longer have a lot to collect from the sorting office and we can re-use the big boxes to send on items to the charities :0)

Elaine - hope hubby is doing fine in hospital - we did miss you at the knit in public day picnic in Dunfermline - it was lovely to have Mag and Alana down from Aberdeen anyway but we were missing the third musketeer :0) Hopefully by next year he will have had all ops needed to make him full of beans again and you will be able to join in with the rest of us when we have get togethers :0)

Bonnie Jean over there in France - keep up the good work - Suzanne has been well impressed with the ST's you and Diana have been sending in.

Right off to college with my boy - keep busy :0)

(I too have been getting soooo tempted with Kemps and Abakhan recntly - might give in if I get lots of birthday money next month - big 50 coming up and have told the family just to give me money so I can buy what I want - DH is terrified that this means the wool mountain will turn into a volcano and he will be washed along the street by the flow :0)

Shaz - I have the Jean Greehowe's Toy Collection book with a pattern for a green octupus with red and white striped socks, hat and football scarf. It is 10 and a quarter inches high. The pattern also shows it with multicoloured socks, stripey hat and a pink scarf. I have your yahoo email address on Wooligans - let me know if it's the one you want, and I'll scan and email it to you.

Hi Lou - great to hear from you. The big '50' is not so bad, I promise! I'm so glad you are doing well, but do you ever stop? I hope you treat yourself to some 'me' time occasionally! You truly are an inspiration to us all.

Good luck to DS with his interview!

    welcome to the newbies

hi lou - nice to see you popping in
glad the christening went well PTB:T
hope all are well or improving

sorry havent been in today, i managed to pull in a walls length of coving, its about killed my shoulder so im having to do it a section at a time as its too painfull having arm up in that position for any length of time - trouble is then it hurts again when i start knitting in the evening. ive only got 1 walls worth left to do then i can leave t for a couple of weeks before tackling the gloss.

miserble and rainy here but on the plus side the garden is watering itself;)

  • Lurking this week and most of next - SIL and new beau here for us to see if he is suitable! I have managed to do the aran bobble hat for LH and a few more ST's for the Algerian Ladies as well as some more animal blankets (see wooligans if interested)- but finding it very hard to not have proper time and access to the forum..................what does that say about me then (OK sad I know).

I shall try and get on again before the count up on Sunday night/Monday morning. I have withdrawal symptoms from visiting and finding out how you are all fairing. Maytaurus - you know me so well, my guardian angel is a Native Amerian ! she is informing me that I do NEED a four legged friend (remember that song anybody) in order to enhance my life - DH is still reluctant - well he is frightened of dogs, cats and chickens and cows (town boy) so what can I expect except an arguement - will continue to try tho'.
Kathy - spiders are nothing, moosies are nothing - they are all gods wee creatures and deserve a space - it just happens to be in our barns! Off to make a quick cake - requested for supper - DOH? What planet are we on hear? Hope to get back in later. OH I had a right arguement with the PO lady - she was a newbie and didn't know what screens to click onto. Result was that my latest parcel to LH cost 31.85 Euros - heart attack city - I really should find an international carrier - any ideas will be most welcome. Hello to all the newbies, hope everybody is feeling fantastic and well and cuddles to everybody that requires them. - My barn is in an awful mess - I hid all the clutter from the house in there prior to the SIL arriving - oops more clearing up then.

Shaz - I've emailed the octopus pattern to you. It should be two pages.
