Me again :hello:
Had my shower and everything is ready to go in the car tomorrow morning.
I get so excited about going to the caravan, this is only the second time as we havent long bought it.
Its a tourer but we have it sited down in Devon, we will have a seasonal pitch next year which is a permanent one, so at the moment it has to be pulled out of storage when we want to go down, but thats ok.
There are some lovely people on here,
Thank you for your kind offer Kinsey:A but I am sorted now thanks x
Dawn I have PM'd you
Better go or I will never be up in the morning

Hi all.
Pippa - if you're reading this, have a great time!
PurpleTeddyBear - so glad the Christening went well. (((Hugs))) to your DS, hope he's a lot better now. I remember when my two started 'big' school. It's such a milestone in a child's life, as well as the Mum's! Don't worry about the updating - wait until you have time!
Shez - it might be worth you seeing the doctor about the pain in your hand, just in case it's something that can be treated. My tendoninitis won't go away, but my doctor gave me painkillers. Mind you, I don't take them unless the pain is really bad - I find using my hands is better for them than not using them, if you know what I mean.
Well, I'm into crocheting hats and booties again now, after my ripple blanket. I shall also do another couple of crochet buntings, and try and get a parcel ready to post in a week or so. I also want to knit or crochet a couple of layettes for my grandchild-to-be - due in just over eight weeks! They chose not to know the sex of the baby, so I'll do a set in pink, and a set in blue - if I've time!
Anyway, off to put the kettle on again.

morning all - hugs and best wishes to everyone. i hope that all the family are okay and that everything settles down pretty soon.
got my wool from kemps yesterday (had to chase the delivery man down the road, making a complete spectacle of myself, but i did get my parcel). the wool is wonderful - very luxurious and i love it so much that i am going to order more in order to crochet a ripple blanket for another friend whose baby is due in November.
your advice about changing between crochet and knitting is sound advice, i seem to be getting aching thumb joints when i crochet for too long (last night i must have done it for 3 hours - due to pulling out whenever i found a mistake in my pattern). i should learn that when i am tired, i should just knit squares, no thinking involved!
anyway, i must go and do some working in the garden before the rain comes.
have a fabulous day everyone, and its lovely to see you all here, loads of posts yesterday.

Hi everyone
Just a quick post this morning as we have doggie to walk, DMIL for lunch and then giving a friend a Reiki treatment at 4.oo !!
Special welcomes to all the new friends. Hope you enjoy being part of this merry band!!
So glad things went so well for Purple Teddy Bear. You worked so hard to make the Christening special. Happy Days
Special thoughts to all who are feeling down, sad, poorly or who have tests and ops to face a hug is coming through the computer NOW. xxx
Jumping Jacks for all those celebrating.
Everytime I read about Kemps -- I think I must have a look and then resist. I know I would be tempted and there is a little voice whispering in my ear to try a ripple blanket BUT I AM NOT LISTENING--- hEDGEHOGS STILL RULE!! I am sure it was being born in the early '50's that has made me feel the need to never waste anything so I am still knitting the eyelash wool from the freecycler!!!
Right I am not even showered yet so I must go-- have good days everyoneTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

Hello all,
I had a look at this thread a while ago but I had a mountain of unfinished projects having just moved into a new place, then I revisited it yesterday and have spent this morning sifting through my wool and bits and bobs. Many thanks to those posting links to the different groups. I volunteer in a charity shop so I'm going to put the word out about any wedding dresses that aren't saleable/sold.
Now I just need to choose what I want to be knitting and get in touch with one of the contacts from the first pageMake £5 a day in July - £105.33/£155

Hi all.
Pam - thanks for the Annie's Attic -that is such a gorgeous cardi.
Chalky - I, too, am resisting Kemps at the moment. I still have loads of wool and, being a fifties baby myself, I know I have to use it up first. Luckily - or should that be unluckily - wool is very expensive here, plus the selection is very limited, so I'm just not tempted when I know I can stock up again in August when we visit the UK. I can't wait to go back into my old 'local' woolshop!
Well, I should be working but it's so hot, I've just had to put the fan on. 28 degrees and rising here at the moment. DH is in his barn but I think it's quite cool in there. I can hear the shovel going; he's filling in a big hole in the earth floor! Rather him than me!
I've just been round to see the farmer next door; one of his calves has barely moved for a couple of days. I've been keeping my eye on it but, now that it's so hot, I was getting worried about it. Anyway, the farmer said the calf has arthritis, poor thing, and can't stand. I don't know if he intends doing anything about it, though. The calf isn't crying or anything, and hopefully he's managing to graze where he lies, but I haven't seen him take any of his mother's milk. Oh, well, I can't tell the farmer what to do - he's the expert!
We also seem to have been adopted by a little black cat; he keeps taking some of the bread I put out for the birds. He's obviously very hungry but I daren't start putting cat food out in case he belongs to someone else. Another creature to keep an eye on!
Anyway, back to work. I shall try and do some crochet this afternoon.
See you all later.
